This is what I needed - Regular real conversations first without translation and then again with the subtitles. This is actually really simple but at the same time so brilliant and lots of teachers worldwide do not apply methods like this and you spend a year or two struggling with grammar and written vocabulary which you soon forget simply because you don't use it in a real context. And on top of this you have the visual aid with the pictures! Thank you, thank you, thank you

What you say is exactly right. I know maybe 4000 Russian words, and I know the grammar pretty well. But when I speak I make errors, such as saying 'ya bil v park' instead of 'ya bil v parke' And every teacher i find then spends 10 minutes explaining the rule about the case, even though I know it and they could get me to correct myself, but instead we spend 80 percent of the lesson with the teacher telling me the grammar rules over and over, rather than focusing on my being able to talk with mistakes. It makes me spend time teaching myself using these videos, as I do not need endless explanations on stuff I know, just speaking practice with mild correction. Sadly most teachers of russian want you to do endless grammar exercises and never give you the chance to actually speak.
