Pick up a Turbo Chelsea for yourself here - ariat.dkkdet.net/ba2gK9
I've cut in half Blundstone boots, Redback Boots, and RM Williams boots but they are all Australian chelsea work boots. Today I am cutting the American brand Ariat's work chelsea called the Turbo Chelsea and it's got the most unique shank I've ever seen!

The puncture resistant layer is CSA approved, it means it is as effective as a steel layer or can stand up to the same test, CSA is the Canadian standard of the ASTM. It is also nice to see a American company carries CSA approved products.

TheJohn8765 you can look up surplus boots, Canadian MK4 combat boots. They have csa versions, I bought a pair online for 80 bucks, brand new. Some of the nice ones have goretex. Normally goretex boots are very expensive. Or you can look up magnum, the composite toe boots are the lightest ones I ever had.

It's a good lesson that some channels fail to learn. The best sponsors are the ones that are from outside your entire segment - e.g. ones that aren't wallets or leather products etc. as those cannot be affected by anything you do. As a carpenter who briefly worked in Redbacks, I’m here to tell you the puncture resistance matters. Walking on a job that was poorly maintained and suddenly felt a stabbing pain in my foot. Raised my foot and there’s a piece of plywood attached. Lovely. Insult to injury, these supposedly “tough” boots had air filled soles, so no they were flat and totally unusable. Forget Redbacks.

The upper is attached to the midsole via direct attach / direct injection. The upper is put in the dual density mold and the PU attached to the TPU and the Upper in the same mold. You can use either a desma injection machine for this or a PU pouring direct attach machine.

He nailed it! I can't criticize this video! I am just about to confer the title of 'Shoe Dog" to Rose Anvil. The direct attached construction is when two polymers (Polyol & Isocyanate) in liquid form are mixed and poured into a mold and they thermoset to the shape of the mold. Also, keep in mind, ALL Chelsea waterproof boots are waterproof ONLY to the lowest part of the Gore (elastic) line. Water will seep in if you stand in water above the lowest gore line. TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) has a very high abrasion and even that light skin which forms the outer sole shell will last a very long time. Drawback of TPU - the colder it gets, the harder the TPU gets and becomes very slippery. The Swenflex material will surprise it, it is very puncture resistant and made in Ontario, Canada. Please put a nail in a 2 by 4 and try to push the Swenflex thru it. You will see what I mean.

can you review Thursday's explorer boot? it is $249, storm-welted, and has a steel shank. I plan on buying a pair next month and I want to see how you rate it's craftsmanship!

hey rose big fan ! i know its moctobre but maybe for another series you could do a tear down of Asics ? more specifically the retro ones like gel lyte3 the gel lyte 5 ....ect or other retro runners in general. i love asics because i find the quality of material and comfort are great and they tend to run cheaper than other retro runners but would be cool to see a comparison with example the gel lyte3 vs newbalance 996 or other runners around the same price point. just an idea ! keep making dope videos ! you helped me make lots of decisions in the past

How thick is the Leather on the upper? Is the internal heal guard stitched in the middle too? Would you consider these boots that could be resoled or are these disposable?

So I e always loved work boots, with that said I found your channel pretty recently and I gotta say thanks a lot. I e now gotten into way more costly boots for work and even dressing up. Lol. This is such a great channel man. I'm close to having enough saved up for a pair of $600 boots I've seen on your channel. That's twice as much as I usually spend for work boots but this is for just dress boots. Lol

I didn't see a video for it, but the Georgia Boot Romeo is one of the most popular boots for any farmer/ construction worker here in Wa. I wonder how they would compare 🤔. And they come in sub $100

I have an original Ariat paddock boot, from when they were made In Italy. They are 30 years old! I only use them to ride , but if I knew I could replace them I'd wear them more.

The safety toe version of this boot runs narrow in the toe box. Be sure to try before you buy.
