Respected Sir, May you please tell me how it is treated when bad debts and provision for doubtful debts (in credit side) both are given in the trial balance. There are no additional adjustments.

In my opinion they should be deducted from the debtors in asset side of balance sheet....as our asset (i.e debtors) are decreasing....
