2 Easy Methods To Make THREADS - Narrated Tutorial of 3D Modeling Using Designspark Mechanical #04

For the 4th part of 3D Modeling Tutorial Using Designspark Mechanical, we will make the basic threads, than can be applied for bolts, nuts, fittings, and so on.
You can download DSM here : www.rs-online.com/designspark...
To export the design to STL or OBJ file, you can use the "Export Options" menu on the top right (in Design menu tab), and select STL as the format.
Yes, there are many mistakes in my grammar, don't hesitate to correct me. And anyway, if you have any suggestion about what to design, please let me know in the comment.

Good video. To get full proper thread on the outer/add model you needed to start the add thread portion off the end of the cylinder the same way you did the cut version.

Great video. The only thing you did not mention is that the starting diameter of the cylinder is going different for the two methods to have usable parts.

Thanks. How can you create a post hole with an m3 screw thread? I guess it's a similar process but inside the cylinder. Very helpful video.

Thanks, great tutorial, although it would have been preferable to actually demonstrate how to create a standard thread bolt, such as an M6 .

A while ago I posted for screw cap/cover, in this link kzread.info/dash/bejne/nWSlo7Sbnb3dorA.html But yes, nut + bolt design have slightly different method, the thread pitch distance is closer. Let me try to post about it, maybe next week :)

Once typed in the pitch don't forget to press Enter. Have lost a bit of time before arriving at such a stupid thing.
