That's sad because I grew up in a small town and most people wouldn't treat you this bad as these cops but I get what you are saying because one cop treated me the same way in my sisters house all because he didn't believe me that the person he was looking for didn't live there and she lived there for decades so with a little investigation could've found that out instead of trapping me in the house for a half hour I live in the city and they don't call for backup because three or more are already there to make a small case bigger than it needs to be

that is the case for most places. what the cops in these kinds of videos don't seem to understand is that most people aren't actually harming others, at least not in an intentional or reasonably foreseeable way (invisible variables are always a thing no matter the topic). most departments have quotas they have to fill which lowers the bar for "suspicious activity" (especially near the end of the month). i'd love to become a cop and fix them from the inside, but i'd likely not get past police academy. sure, i managed to make it through an entire army contract, but i was itching to do some seriously dumb shit near the end of it and i'm afraid a good chunk of it lingered.

That's what happened to me! In 2002, in Wheat Ridge, CO., I got a call from a friend who had a bit too much to drink at a local bar. I drove to the place, and saw him outside waiting for me. I pull up, he gets in, and I start to drive. A moment later, red and blue lights in my mirror. I pull over, and the officer comes at me with a bad attitude and inflated ego. He yelled at me, said I had interfered with police by picking up my friend. He said someone had called to report an intoxicated man in the parking lot, and just as he was approaching, I "swooped in", and "intercepted" the guy. I told him my friend called me for a ride to avoid driving home intoxicated. At that moment, the cop became furious, took out his gun and ordered us out of the car. He called for backup. About 30 seconds later, 2 more WRPD cars arrive, lights and sirens as if they were chasing an escaped armed robber. We were both arrested (my friend for public intoxication, me for obstruction of justice. Both our cars impounded (even though his was in a private parking lot). Charges were dropped, but we each had to pay $800 to get our cars out of impound. Still, while the charges were dropped, I still have an arrest on my record.

I actually coached with a former female cop just like this. She carried that attitude into coaching as well and the girls could not stand her. She wouldn't let them talk either and if they did she would not play them. Power tripping does not belong in law enforcement.

Reminded me of this: 1980 I'm 18 renting a small house with a friend, I plan a keg party, but I meet a girl and she wants to go, but I must drive 30 min to pick her up and get her home by 11:30, party has unknown people arriving, I leave to take her home, when I return.... The neighbors are in a fist fight with partygoers in the street, I jump in the middle, neighbors retreat and get their rifle... partygoers learn cops are coming and cars leave en masse, I'm still in the street... police car pulls down the road, lights on me, steps out of vehicle and UNSNAPS HOLSTER and orders me to keep my hands in sight... Neighbor rushes out to vouch for me, I explain I am the renter and came home to a fight, we tour the whole yard and house and only the one sniveling friend I left in charge is in the house looking pathetic, cops leave, no charges arrests. Later I learn that when I left the party to take the girl home, they started up my motorcycle and rode it up and down the street through the neighbors yards... that prompted the fight.

They played with the line, by talking with her, but she wanted them to bait the line, swallow it, and then cook themselves too, to make it easy for her. Since they didn't, immediately, she starts inventing her ras to give her pc so she can make the arrests and TAKE her ID fix from them. She protected and served them good and hard. I'm so happy the one time I tried to walk home drunk as a skunk, that I called 911 on myself. I never would have made it home if not for the amazing policer officers who found me and drove me home. It takes NOTHING for them to be kind and help some stumbling drunks a few blocks down to their home. This officer is a disgrace.

Don't drive (cars, motorcycles, pedal bicycles, electric bicycles, scooters, electric wheelchairs, lawnmowers, forklifts or scissor lifts, etc) while drunk. Add walking to the list. Can't jog or run, thats "evading". Try roller skates, skateboards or pogo sticks. A drunk is usually broke by 2am so Uber, Taxi isnt an option.
