Been waiting for YEARS to see someone build an Ondol in a bushcraft setting! This was awesome! I wish more bushcraft shelters had these heated beds! I bet it would make it even more cozy in the winters! Imagine having this inside a bushcraft shelter! Awesome job! Instant subscriber!

Just imagine how warm and dry it would be if you had built a lean-to log structure over this stone bed, similar to some of your other shelters. I appreciate how resourceful you are with the materials you have available, and how creative you are. Great survival build!

Really enjoyable and strangely relaxing to watch. Loved the reaction of Bonny when you emptied her food into bowl - "Expect me to eat this when you had steak?" As ever, thanks for sharing. 😁

Not sure it's a true rocket..it was smokey as until he moved the "fire" further in towards the chimney ,maybe next one have the fire at opposite to chimney like an" L "on its side with half partitions so heat/ smoke bounces from side to side like the Korean ondol....or Rocket mass Heater..this looked smokey. Cool but smokey. Clever guy tho, I'm sure he could make a RMH..to sleep on a smoke less "bed" .or a variation of a Vortex masonry heater "google it"

Perfect Ondol you made!!! Just one point, the higher chimney top from the furnace level would be better for the less smoke.

I can relate being out in nature with my dogs. Love the nighttime watching the beautiful flames from a fire.

I'am 48 years old ,and when I was 4 years me and my brothers ,we have a verry nice dog we the name Bonny ,she die when she was 19 years old...😊 Keep the good job bro we like you show ,,😎

Hello Kostas👍👍 Wonderful to see you and lovely Bonny out in the wild mountains again for another adventure. This was a unique build and a worthy one at that. I've have seen people build a fire then cover it with sand as a bed to stay warm but not on top of an oven. Bonny looks happy and healthy as always and eager to be with you on the mountain, I think she wanted a steak as well. What a great trip, well filmed, thanks for bringing me along. Happy 2023!

바람을 막아주는 담도 있고, 아궁이 만들어서 식사와 하룻밤을 잘 보내셨군요. 그 자리가 산에서는 지리적으로 좋은 자리인것 같아요. 자연석으로 계속 짓다보면, 천년 이상 갈 고급 아방궁으로 지어도 좋지 싶습니다.

Well two points for the heated bed. The chimney is too close so you inhale a lot of smoke. The fire pit is directly under the bed so it can overheat the thin slate and you could get easily burned as well as inhale carbon monoxide. To be safe the smoke and the CO should be separated. If you have time, study Korean heating system called Ondol which separates both as well as efficient wood burning and cooking.
