My own father did this to me just one week ago. We were out at an Italian place and I said I wanted the pizza. He kept making comments on how I’d have a “better” dinner if I ordered something else. I ordered the daily special (meatloaf) and he watched me grimace through the first 2 bites (I don’t like meatloaf but I knew he’d be forced to eat the leftovers bc he hates wasting food) before digging into my side dishes like they were entrees.
