Greatest Heisman winner of the 2000s so far. Absolutely amazing how he rallied us to win in such an adverse situation. Even when I was ten I knew how special this season was. This game was an absolute classic and a rollercoaster of emotions. I almost forgot that AJ McCarron had to experience both the Cam-back AND the Kick Six, poor guy. Also, I still can’t stand Gary Danielson even all these years later 😂 War Eagle! 🦅

With the 24-0 lead that Alabama had, you really would have thought that this game came down to the wire, but Auburn took the lead with almost the entire 4th quarter still to play. I don't know that I'll ever see a college football team WILLED to the national championship the way one guy - Cam - did that season. Chizik, the head coach, was exposed for being incompetent after Cam left. And Malzahn was a great OC, but none of it was sustainable without Cam even after he got the top job. It's just sad that Cam's body couldn't withstand the hits in the NFL. So many "pundits" said that injuries should be a worry with his style of play prior to the draft, and it sucks that they were right.

Yeah for a few years there, that auburn season thru the 2015 mvp year Cam was probably the best football player in the world. His detractors seem to not know that he’s the leading rushing-tds-for-a-QB of *All time* and 2nd place isn’t even close. He’s got double the 2nd place total. Arguably the greatest running qb of all time, not greatest “Running QB” as a type obviously there are a ton of better dual threat qbs but as in pure running the ball taken by itself he’s probably the best Qb to ever do it. No sliding or out of bounds necessary, he will truck your best linebacker. Power shotgun formation Qb keeper at the goal line is unstoppable. You know it’s coming and you ain’t gonna stop it

As a Bama fan, this was a very strange day in our history. We found out quick that day that a 24-0 lead early in the game is NOT the same thing as a 24-0 lead late in the game. When Auburn scored their first TD, making it 24-7, I felt like that was pretty much the end for us, even though our lead was still 17 at that point. I still don't know how we were favored. We had lost two games to teams that Auburn had beaten handily and Auburn was undefeated. We were like 7 point favorites. Weird

Seeing this makes me want the OSU/UM rivalry to get kicked into overdrive. Hopefully it will become intense for years to come. Michigan needs to wake up and get things rolling. @@kev614I I agree. When Michigan is doing well it makes OSU look even better. I think Harbaugh is 1-4 or 1-5 in bowl games. Even if he was 3-3 in bowl games and he left Michigan with that record, he'd go down as a top coach in Michigan history since his regular season winning percentage is really good. Should be a fun season.
