Purchase Here - gospelmusician...
The Fundamentals of Neo-Soul Keyboard is one of the hottest and most coveted DVDs every made. Let's face it, musicians love neo-soul, because it is a genre that posses the smoothness of soul; the improvisational creativity of jazz; the grit of hip-hop; and the head-bobbing phenomena of funk.
You can't get these chords with your neighborhood piano teacher. These chords are "secret" chords that the streets possess and are shared only in underground basement shed sessions. For the first time, these secret chords will be exposed for all of it's funky glory. You get a little over an hour of the phattest neo-soul chord progressions that you hear on the radio or from your favorite neo-soul artists. We spent time in the studio showing the movements, then we took time to chart out all of the movements in a nice score. You get the MIDI files for your tracks and for your virtual MIDI viewer such as MIDIculous. Finally you get tons of theory booklets and resources so that you actually understand what you are playing. The notations are so easy to follow and very simple to understand.
From coming from a gospel background, we can all agree that musicians love neo-soul and these concepts that we teach can be applied to every urban genre of music from gospel to R&B. If you are looking to finally make some smooth grooves with your tracks and become an urban producer, then this DVD will give you all the tools to produce your first album. If you are getting a little bored with the same chords you've been playing all the time, now it's time totally transform your style by adding a touch of neo-soul to your keyboard playing!.

I only mention it because the video was great and I don't want the constipation to stop you from playing (although it doesn't seem to impede your playing)...........I think I did hear someone say "When it comes to playing an instrument well you got to get the sh%t lockdown."..........so thanks for the upload.

add some reverb, check the velocity settings of your midi controller or keyboard, practice slowly and calmly and you can do it too :P It'll sound a lot better as you practice, but a good word of advice is to practice without effects (to train pitch and spot inconsistencies/mistakes easier)

I got so tired of the same diatonic chords I was playing. I play stacked chords all the time, but it's all improv and my brain seems to just want to play uninteresting sounding extended major harmonies; sometimes I add a note that changes it up, but then I can't recreate it. It's fun, but the structure isn't what I'm looking for, and it's frustrating when I can't hit the same "cool" chords consistently.. This video helped me so much and it literally changed my harmonic progressions. Practice makes progress! TY!

I can picture Jason singing as you demonstrate those chords. That's like some 12 years ago. I love you man. U broadened my piano horizon. I loved the way you rolled over your left hand notes to layer the right hand chords. I held your DVDs dearly then. All I could think of then was to set up my keyz while I watch ur dvd. Thanks for being an inspiration and teacher to me. Yeah I was 17 then and I'm almost 30 now, I can see you getting Greys. Much love maestro ♥

I'm glad to hear somebody knowledgeable say that neo soul chords can be all the notes in the scale. I wrote an arrangement where I actually DID NOT use one of the notes from the scale on each chord and then just played with the inversions. FAT chords for days!
