Points and free night for hotel are pretty straight forward, no? 80k per night standard room rate. Free night certificate works on Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. The upgrade as Diamond for his room was available and cost a few hundred. I believe you can call in advance to confirm that upgrade. Points for flight, use awardhacker. There are several ways to get to Tahiti on points.

I would be interested as well. Currently have gold status through my Surpass but would get the Aspire for Diamond for a chance of this upgrade.

What? I didn’t even know they have a mascot. I don’t see them in the gift shop; however we did see a live eagle ray swimming by our bungalow!

Awesome tour! 😃👏 I thought that was a trampoline for a second there, and I was like COOL 😎 and then I found out it was a hammock and I was like....oh, 😏.

Was your plan to offer to use cash to upgrade to overwater bungalow if available at check-in or were you going to be okay with garden villa? Use any tools to monitor availability of OWB's?

I can't wait to do this trip. What time of year did you go? Trying to fit it in next year. I have plenty of Hilton points, but you can also transfer MR points to Hilton at a 1:2 ratio which is very nice.

Hey Sebby looks like Standard Room Free Night Rewards stay are no longer accepted at the Conrad Bora Bora. They list the rooms as Premium Reward Stay. I tried to book with my two Standard Rewards nights and they told me no, That they are Premium Reward Stays now. No Option for standard rooms. Any Suggestions?

how did your room at the st regis look compared to the one in this video ?

@@JRBKLYN718 same over the water villa. The water is nice but not many fish on the ones facing the island. The finishings in the room and little pool outside look nicer in St Regis. iPad controls for everything including tv, blinds, lights and ordering food. They are very comparable to each other as rooms, but the experience is different.

Was this all done by points or was some part of it with paid not in points?

that is a dream....how do u rate that experience?

My fiance and I plan to visit Bora Bora in March-April 2023 for our honeymoon. So I know that March-April is shoulder season, and there is a mild weather risk (rainy season). I researched the historical weather data for March, and it's not too bad. For example, second half of March 2022 was quite dry. Any thoughts on people's prior experiences traveling to Bora Bora in March-April would be most appreciated.

German Orellana keep the utilization on the date it posts at less than 7%. You’ll get better results.

American Airlines JFK to LAX, AA/Air Tahiti-Nui LAX to Papeete/Tahiti, Papeete, Tahiti to Bora Bora, then a charter boat from that part of Bora Bora to your hotel.

I think based on the video he used only points. So he paid a lot to earn the points but only used points for the stay. Used points for basic room , got a free night also for haven't a card with a free annual night and got the upgrade to the bungalow for having the Hilton Aspire diamond status card

Ask Sebby St. regis is very big compare to le maridian. The breakfast is better in st regis because almost everything is made on your order( hopefully you are platinum member, otherwise 50 dollars per person per day ) La meridian provide better experience because every knows you by name and they come and check on you from time to time. st. regis they have so many people and they don’t know you so well. so many activities are free so try all those in both places. st regis to la meridian boat is free. restaurant as you know are same expensive around 100 per night for both. snorkeling is amazing in st regis, la meridian snorkeling is ok but nothing to compare with st regis. St.regis hopefully they can upgrade you to over water villa, we had to push them to give us that even with platinum, la meridian upgraded us without any problems. la meridian and st regis ordered halal meet for my family from NZ and whenever we ate food we told them to use our Halal meat and they did. It was amazinf how they went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Now you have to compare both and tell us if we should go to conrad in bora bora.

I’m thinking about going to Conrad but not sure which one the bora bora or the Maldives. Last December I stayed at St. Regis Maldives for 7 Nights for my honeymoon it was the best thing ever. Got upgraded to the beach villa for platinum status thanks to Ritz Carlton Card. Used 240K points before they went up and 2 ritz cert from the signup bonus. Rate was around $3500 for December so it was total around $30k after taxes. Well worth it. I’m saving the points again for that. But I’ve been wanting to go to Conrad Maldives especially since they have underwater restaurant. But would love to get your thoughts on that.

Was at St Regis Maldives in March under the same points deal but for 5 days. Totally worth it even with the expensive water plane ride. On the last day we saw Brasilian soccer player Paulinho with his family. They had the Bentley looking deluxe golf cart.

SolidLiquidFox yeah it was amazing. But yeah I’ve gotten 5-6 bottles of free champagne throughout the stay and got free hour at spa pool, free breakfast every morning was amazing. On my way back I was the only one so I was able to get Bentley ride to the airport and had snacks at their lounge.

Nice. We got the free hour at the blue hole jacuzzi for my wife's birthday. Free breakfast was invaluable. We got the Bentley on arrival to Male but not on the way back.

Im pea green with envy. I'm never going to be able to go there, I'm just to terrified of flying over the ocean, but at least I can watch others do it.

Yes, just the 80k room. Any other room is a Premium Room redemption and I'm 100% sure Sebby would never book that

Will Shrop So maybe Sebby booked when the redemption was 80K.. Feb 2020 shows at least 150K for standard room, and also I wonder how Sebby got upgraded to the bungalow room because I know the diamond members get “one” upper level of room upgrade from the standard room when there is availability and the one up after the standard room is not a overwater bungalow... it’s like 3 rooms upper level of standard room. Any idea?

@@davidkim8512 there are no Hilton policies for room upgrades. Each property has the discretion to do what they want based on availability. Standard reward rates can change based on date. March 2020 80k. You have to be flexible for Hilton rewards redemptions
