Breaking them subs in the right way. When they loosen up, double up on the power, and have it tuned. Its gonna blow the back glass out. That setup is sweet!

@@kevinestrada4294 you're supposed to take it easy on new subs for a while so they loosen up. The suspension comes pretty stiff from the factory. After a couple weeks or months of moderate use you can usually safely up the power

B Reed Sorry dude but that’s a myth. Yes the spider, the rippled fabric that’s under the speaker cone that’s glued to the cone, voice coil and frame, does come very stiff on high end subs like these and moderately stiff even on the budget subs but they absolutely don’t have to be put through a “break in” process. Those spiders aren’t going to rip nor will they tear free at any of their glue joints even putting full power to them right out of the box. Period. If you abuse them by not properly tuning your head unit and amps to get rid of clipping and distortion then sure you may possibly do some type of damage to the subs suspension it still unlikely. These subs are built a certain way for a reason. Have you ever bought any subs and got an instruction sheet with them that gave a break in procedure that must be followed or some negative occurrence will happen? Fuck no so don’t say you have. All that being said, after some play time the spider/spiders will soften and the sub will have a bit more excursion but yeah...break in is BS

Also other then give it more power to the Subs dont Hesitate to try pointing the Port of that box either to the Front of the car or port facing Up Subs pointed back and Port facing up subs facing front .. try different things trust me position will shock you on how much louder it can get or be for SPL depending on Box Position

I see that brain bucket with the NOD mount attached. That’s a piece of gear I’m all too familiar with. Nice system.

Love the box. I got the black Rock Guard on both of mine in the van. People like it. Different.

Great set up i like the rhino liner.as fare as smooth rolling base i would not have rhino lined the inside of the box best thing in my opinion would be a few layers of polyurethane gloss in side the box .it takes a little more work but when you have made a box this nice i would take the extra step.ive polyurethaned all the insides of my boxes for the past 10yrs and you can clearly feel and hear a before and after.

Jacob, awesome video as always. You should invest into a SPL meter and try to measure the db's of all or most of the sound systems you video. That will give us, watchers, a better idea of how the system does. For example, its hard to tell if this system does 145 db's (or so) or 151 db's. Just a suggestion.

Davis C I just built a box of similar size for a Tahoe. Mine was for 6-12’s though. 48 Wide 25.5 Hight 36 Deep

Not gonna tell me a taramps md8k at 1 ohm is gonna get shit on by a 3800 korean at 1 ohm dollar for dollar. that he’s prob seeing 1500-1800 after rise if he’s lucky. Ran plenty of korean and Brazilian and I can see a difference if your not wired into the dirt js 🤙

Taramps are garbage if you actually want to listen to your system daily and have it sound good. They’re for spl competitions and demos not for a good system that’s loud AND musical.

Sammie Clark my guess is they are severely under powered. These subs are rated at 2k rms. And if you know sundown then you know that they will take a 5k all day with ease. After box rise these subs were probably only seeing 1200 a piece

Kendricks 3500 watts is still a lot of power. Plus like the guy above said there is box rise and these subs can handle more the 2k rms. Just suck to have such crazy subs and sound like 2 10’s js
