They should do like a 12-hour fishing contest the day after building them. That would give each one of them ample time to get in the running, as well as giving us plenty of content. Just a montage of every single fish along with weight and score, it would make it even more competitive.

Final update: this little reel is the little engine that could kzread.infoUgkxSlytCJqozTF7EbdP4LWP-HUXf9WRDJ0e . It performed flawlessly and was easy to adjust drag in the moment while I was battling a 35lb bat ray behemoth. Mind you, this reel is spooled with only 25 lb braid and 25 mono topshot. It's paired with the kastking telescopic heavy power rod and the two work well together. This has now earned my respect and confidence when traveling and fishing. If you have ever hooked into large rays and sharks, you know they pull extremely hard and can run forever! This thing clamped down on the fish and was easy to adjust during the fight. It has a nice decently fast retrieve as well. Twice the fish went on mad runs and I was able to gain back line quickly to avoid spooling.

Day 3 of asking to see ayo, Norm, yack pack and maybe even Trey work together to build a homemade houseboat. and do a 24 hour challenge on it. could even make for a great series of videos. Next rod build challenge, I would suggest whoever: head to the mailbox area and grab some fiberglass marking rods, stack them and wrap with fabric tape or something similar, add your chosen eyelets with the tape.

When I was a kid, my dad built us fishing rods out of bamboo, some eye hooks, and stuck a reel on them. They worked surprisingly well.

I would definitely use the norm whopper popper kinda like a popper on the back end lol

Yeah, I’m surprised the Home Depot guys didn’t say we have 6 ft Fiberglass poles in aisle 7. Wire/glue the eyelets and done in about 10 min. If mason was familiar with in-line ice fishing reels he could have rigged up a decent reel

Great project. 😂👍 You can really see that Norm isn't used to working with wood. I would have gone with a dowel aswell but used rasps and files to shape it. The tail I'd made out of a piece of dowel and the fin out of the Red Bull can.
