    Is it legal to lift your pivot foot before you release the ball from your hand when in motion to start dribbling? If not, you should replay this video in 0.5 playback and watch both players starts from the pivot foot. Seems like they're both traveling repeatedly. IMO

    First 1 v 1 game I’ve seen of julien in a while, and his game has really matured! He wasn’t over dribbling and was playing some pretty solid D despite the obvious size disadvantage. I’m impressed!

    Man, for all the hype, he is pretty overrated, his running technique is 💩, he runs like a Gecko, he doesn't flex the knees when he jumps, he doesn't use both hands, his muscle development is pathetic, for his size he is pretty weak in terms of strength and power. Man just check Earl Boykins or Spud webb, bros were Monsters... Or check Junior Robinson and Chris Lykes now.

    As a undersized hooper, there is only so much you can do against a bigger player without fouling. Even on jumpshots, it is difficult to contest. I know every loves to hate on Julian but you gotta give him props.

    @@The_snatch_wrecker Most of the shots he took were given to him. When you're down, you have to take those shots that are there. Those two steps wouldn't make a difference because Hezi was giving him space. If he would've tried to blow past him, Hezi would've right there. And there are so many great players that didn't go to college but it's clear Julian has been improving. Julian did what worked for him and Hezi pretty much could do whatever considering he had a height and weight advantage over Julian.

    @@forthedream9224 Yes, but that foot can't touch the ground, otherwise it's a travel, so in order to cancel the travel step by pivot removal, you would have to remove the other foot from the ground, so you must jump in order to prevent that additional travel so to perform a legal play.

    @@Asian2706 I read the offical rule, and it states, lifting the pivot foot before (releasing the ball) starting a dribble is a traveling violation. The only time you're able to lift the pivot is to follow through for a pass or shot. At least that's how the rule I read is written. I guess then interpretation of that rule comes into play, but it seems pretty simple to understand. Exploiting is one thing, blatant disregard for a rule is another. IMO

    Am I the only one who thinks that Hezi constantly conserves stamina by playing subpar defense? He always gives his opponent space to shoot and by the time they miss, hes recovered stamina enough to get an offensive run. From all his 1 on 1s I seen, it works so good for him but that's only because most people can't reliably shoot even when given space.

    Unfortunately basketball caters heavily to taller and strong players. There are sports out there that favor smaller people like gymnastics, weightlifting (within lighter classes), etc. I do respect he is still pursuing what he's passionate about though!

    It's seems Hezi was just playing around, I really think he could have finished it 13-4 if he really wanted. He just backed off after getting 10 and let Julian do his thing. Now Julian did pop them shots which was good but that level of performance isn't sustainable once Hezi got serious. This is however, the best performance I've ever seen from Julian.

    I agree that he travels and carry even more often but the ball hitting the floor like 0.1 sec after he picks his pivot up. The ball is already half way to the ground by the time his pivot comes up. Shit is negligible and no one calls that in any game, street ball or otherwise.

    If your left foot is the pivot. You need to dribble before taking off with right step. It’s a travel yet rarely called. You’re essentially taking 2 steps without bouncing the ball.

    Is it legal to lift your pivot foot before you release the ball from your hand when in motion to start dribbling? If not, you should replay this video in 0.5 playback and watch both players starts from the pivot foot. Seems like they're both traveling repeatedly. IMO

    I respect Julian for taking on this matchup - but at his height, no way would I play Hezi God w/ unlimited dribbles. There aren't many options you can take away from him.

    Julian really has improved though.. just way too small and one dimensional. Only has a jumper and that hard drive into a fall back he misses 90% of the time. His defense improved though and quitting it with the unnecessary spam dribbling
