If you're just using a leader - fluoro is great. But you can't use straight fluoro because the belly of the line will start to sink causing the bait to dive.

I prefer split rings and Griff prefers snaps. Personal preference. They both allow the bait to move well. I just think split rings have less chance to fail. If Griff ever caught big fish he'd probably be concerned with snaps failing too. Owner STX 38 or ST 36 on the hooks!
