your art is absolutely gorgeous, even these old sketches!! i look at your work a LOT because it really inspires me to keep trying traditional even though it something i struggle with. it kind of helps seeing art of yours thats so old because it reminds me how many years of experience you have in this and that i cant expect myself to be at the same place as artists who were at THIS skill level already at the time that i was. nine years old lol. thanks for showing these!!!

Yess!! SO glad to hear it's inspiring :D I have definitely been drawing for a REALLLLY long time at this point, probably put in the 10k hours at least once maybe more than that haha. You have time on your side, and you will definitely improve the more you experiment.

Oh man, what a throwback to the past! I remember pouring over so many of these on DeviantArt all those years ago. I can't believe how long I've been following you! I always thought you were so adventurous in your art, and I wanted mine to look like yours so badly lol! Now I want to pull out my own artwork and take a look at it! What a fun video!

I know you've mentioned your artistic journey numerous times (including Prism), but I think you should make a video on why you chose to become an independent artist and not go into animation despite going to school for it.

I reallyyyyyyyy enJOYYYY as an audience for both watching and listening you talking about your artworks, the ones in a self-produced illustration artbook to the other ones of your school works. They're all fantastic. I love watching how you have explored a lot of drawing styles of character designs, drawing a lot of different poses, figures, fashion, and figures. I love listening to your experiences in producing portfolios for applying games and animation studios. Thanks for making this video! Looking forward for your next video of your things, and also I hope you take care of your health and eat well. Have a nice day!😊

Before I watched the video I read your comic because I’ve been excited for it to come out for a while! I’m amazed at how detailed every page is it looks so good 🤩! It makes me think about your art process videos and how much work and time goes into each line. I just wanted you to know that even if you feel like people will just glance over the artwork in your comic it still does make a huge difference because even at a glance I feel like you can tell how polished it is, and the backgrounds definitely add a lot even if you don’t pour over every stroke, it all culminates into an incredibly impactful and inspiring finished piece. Especially when I imaginie if the backgrounds weren’t there or were less deep the contrast is very noticeable. I know I at least appreciate the art a lot!! Thanks for sharing and good luck!

hello, as a fellow artist, I would just like to say you don't have to be so critical of your work. your improvements now don't devalue the art you have made previously even if it doesn't live up to your expectations now. I'd be interested to know what your thought processes were when you made them and about the interesting decisions you made and how you would improve upon them today rather than what you don't like about them. you don't have to defend why you made something, once it spoke to you and that means it has the ability to speak to others so don't be so harsh on it. love your work

it would be nice if people like you just let others talk about things without feeling the need to desperately try to negate pretty much anything that is a bit more realistic and not covered in sugar sprinkles for your sensitive little soul. it is perfectly okay to look back at early work and not like it much

wow.... I've never felt so disheartened after watching someone's art school time drawings, even though I know I shouldn't, I just can't help but compare myself to you... Really wished I had spent my deprressive teen years drawing instead of playing video games Edit: wow ok thank you all so much guys, the art community is so f*cking nice, I feel a lil better :') 🫰

Don't take this the wrong way but that kind of attitude is going to make it hard for you to improve. Never compare your journey to another artist journey. You won't be able too see how you are improving if you keep comparing your improvement to another artist. Hope you continue to draw friend.

Nooo, don't feel disheartened! I think the most important thing is life is to never linger on lamenting what you haven't done yet, and if your mind goes there, cut that train of thought and tell yourself that it's a waste of time, and you should just do what you want to do instead. I sometimes am tempted to lament never taking health and fitness seriously until later in life in my late 20s/early 30s, but I am just trying my best and learning how to be self-sufficient at the gym. There's always SOMETHING you manage to miss.. but it's never too late to start and form a new habit 💪

it's understandable that you struggled to draw when you were depressed, improving is difficult especially when you are struggling. you shouldn't beat yourself up over decisions made back then, you should clap yourself on the back for getting through it and being in a better spot now than before. you shouldn't have to feel like your art is worth less because someone else does it at a higher technical level, if you have something you want to express you should do it and not worry about what other people are doing. even if the only person you are drawing for is you it is still beautiful that you are making something. art isn't about being the best at something, it is about self-expression and you have the right to express yourself even if other people make it look prettier than you currently can.

I feel like you've already heard this from people already, but just so you know you're doing awesome and that's enough, even if you think you don't live up to the expectations of others or yourself, just remember that most of the time those expectations are arbitrary and at the end of the day what matters is how far You've come, not how much more you have to go :] I know having expectations and not living up to them can make someone blind to their improvements, so take this as a reminder that you are doing great and you should be proud of it
