"Dye crimson. Dye bloody crimson." What is this actually about? I end up thinking of the reducing of blood, maybe? But that would be 'die crimson' I'm guessing there is something culturally I'm missing. It's still powerful stuff, but I don't understand those lines.

Good one. The guitarist you were liking is Takayoshi Ohmura - among the things he has done was playing with ex-Megadeth guitarist Marty Freedman's band - there are videos of them having shredding competitions. Su here was only just 16 - BABYMETAL became the youngest average age female band to headline at the Budokan and they sold it out 2 nights running.

The guitarist is Ohmura Takayoshi, I love him as well! He's not only very cool looking (and handsome, if I may say so), he also has incredible technical skills as well as musical feeling.

The other Guitar Player is Leda Cygnus, considered the more technical Guitar Player of Japan

FYI BabyMetal Akatsuki (紅月 -アカツキ-) meaning crimson or red moon Naruto Akatsuki (暁) meaning dawn or daybreak Same pronounciation but different kanji different meaning.

Akatsuki is a perfect song. It's beautiful, it's heavy. At least this version. Su was like 13 or 14 when she sang the album version. She struggled with it. She nails it a few years later in live performances.

Great, great reaction, thanks! I really love this one. Actually, Akatsuki is my favorite song along with Megitsune. This performance is top notch for many, many reasons. I'm totally into double kick bass drumming, also love the guitar solo duel (call and response between the two guitars alternatively) and the dual guitar solo (with the two of them harmonizing). And of course, the incredibly clear vocals of SU-METAL... she really nails it! She don't needs fire, she's fire! ...and this is one of the many reasons she's called the Queen. See you next time!

Yes, as they told you that guy is Takayoshi Ohmura, who is recognized as one of the best guitar players ever in Japan. One of the secrets of the success of Babymetal is that the producer (Koba-metal) managed to provide the girls with some of the best metal musicians in japan, they are not a random background band like the idol bands have. The other guitarist is Leda Cygnus, who is pretty good but not at that level. They had another one, Mikio Fujioka, but didn't perform at black night (he performed at red night just the day before), and the three of them shifted between live shows and tours.

Did you really 'react' to this whole song with not a single reference to the drummer. Ouch. Nice of you to post a KZread video of yourself listening to the vocals.
