Under Harvey, I believe 195 was the highest ever. Heck I think that by design, all #1 answers never total 200.

@@JaceTan-90 I wonder if they select the questions for fast money in a way that makes it impossible or extremely unlikely to happen even with all #1 answers. There are clips of it happening several times with older hosts. Ray Combs even played with the partner before having them turn around to see that the first player already got it. I guess he didn’t want to rob them of the chance to play fast money.

@@mikeashley9578 Honestly sometimes it feels like it, but you need an average of 40 from every question to get 200 and sometimes you'll see someone get all the number one answers and only have 192-194 but this one he could have probably pulled an easy 200 because he had 2 that were 46 and one at 41 putting him at +13 on 3 answers. 38 was -2 so after 4 questions he was +11, meaning he only needed the 5th answer to have 29 points. Bra was 24 points, if it wasn't the number one answer whatever was had a high probability of being +29.

I'm currently watching this sitting next to Maia, and she is laughing her ass off, telling us how absolutely high she was lol

Cooking was legit the first thing that popped into my head. Tho I may be biased because I can cook. Not like, professionally, but I make my own pasta sauce and home made mac and cheese and do roasts and fresh cut french fries and stuff. Frankly the thing that wierded me out most about college was the number of now full grown adults who treated basic cooking as some kind of alien sorcery. 'Where did you get these fries?! They're awesome!' "From a bag of potatoes." 'Haha. No seriously, where they from?' **turns around holding up a knife and an open bag** "From a bag of po-tay-toes" 'You know how to make fries?!' This was my DnD DM.... who had a full time job.... and constantly complained about how people 'don't know how to do anything for themselves anymore', and was legitimately baffled at the concept of 'cut potato, drop potato in boiling oil, take potato out, add salt'.

Sometimes the questions on fast money have really easy obvious answers and it’s so easy to get the #1 answers and other times it’s so random lol.

Ok. Stop. The title is very misleading. "1st player crushes Fast Money!" That right there makes you think that the 1st player will win 200+ points. But he actually got 176 instead. I suggest you change the title.

The title is not misleading at all. If you think it means a perfect 200 points the tittle would literally say “1st player gets a perfect score” crushing it to me is like 120 plus points

No he couldn't. They set it up now that even all #1 answers will only get you around the 190's. Only on the older version of the show was it possible to get 200 as a single player.

Maybe. I've never been sure if the "We asked 100 men/women bla bla bla" applies only to the first question or all five. My guess would be that since Matthew's "shirt" answer garnered so few points and Maia's "bra" answer earned so many, the original statement would apply to all of the questions. Matthew obviously didn't think of that. When I heard "shirt," I thought, "uh-oh....I hope his other answers are more gender neutral."

I didn't, because it's impossible. In modern Family Feud, they always make sure all the number 1's don't add up to 200 points, to guarantee a second round. They can select from any number of unused questions available in their library that add up to 199 pts or less.

I have a bizzare thought of a National Championship Edition of Family Feud, where one champion from a conference and another conference champion compete on the Feud for a chance to win the National Championship Game and $100,000 for their school! That would be cool if it really happened! Not sure, but I’m guessing it’s one of their deceased relatives, which explains why the cardboard was printed in black and white.

@@insanemakaioshin Are you insane? You actually said "if they got really lucky, first two questions."? You DO realize that they don't randomly choose questions for the show, right? Obviously they are never going to use a question if they ever came back from taking the surveys and found that literally every single one of the 100 said the same answer. And I would bet anything that they would never even do it with 3 different questions that had 67 or more for their number 1 answer. You MIGHT get 1 of those types of questions every week out of all the questions in any part of the game. So no, they aren't going to have the first three of the fast money round being that.

Back in the 70’s and 80’s when Richard Dawson (and then later, Ray Combs) was host; the first player did infrequently get all 200 points on their own. At that point, it got hilarious because they would prevent player 2 from knowing the total, and just tell them that they have their work cut out for them. And then, they would ask the most bizarre, ridiculous questions. The player would obviously get freaked out, and then after time was up, the host would turn them around to see that the first player had already won. As a kid, I LIVED for those moments because the questions to the second player were hilarious! 😆🤣
