Thanks for the feedback! I spent a lot of time trying to cut down the deck size, but through testing found that I actually liked running the larger deck count. The main problem with pure chimera is that drawing more than one chimera starter doesn’t actually allow you to make a bigger board or play through disruption because it is all funneled through your normal summon. Adding engines like nadir, deployment and opening do severely add to the deck count, but they are all non conflicting extenders as well. Some hands get a little awkward and you don’t always end on a full combo, but even the games where I just open fusion deployment for gran guignol and 2 hand traps often give me enough interruption to survive and at least get my engine started.

This is brilliant. I can't wait to test this build. I've been criticized for trying to squeeze in some other packages like the Fusion deployment and an increased Branded package because I was told it will mess with the consistency of the deck. How are you finding consistency, since posting this video?

Thanks for the feedback! Consistency is great. With the inclusion of 9 more one card starters (opening, nadir, and I consider fusion deployment a 1.5 card starter) you have 18 1 card starters in this 50 card list which has a much higher rate to see a starter than the traditional 9 cards that you have in a pure chimera build. I think you see what I’m trying to do with this deck which I appreciate. Don’t let people convince you it’s wrong just because it’s different. This deck is meant to be played similar to dragon link. The floor for the deck is really high. You almost always have a way to branded fusion or Cartesia. The ceiling is insane though. Some boards end on 10+ interactions. I truly believe this is a much more explosive and consistent deck than pure chimera and loses to far less interruption as well

I dont run the dogmatika stuff. But i like to grab the tribrigade mecorier off of granginule or with mirrorjade and rindbrum

Did u think about playing the „keeper of dragon magic“ package? 3 keeper Instant fusion Predaplant bufolicula Predaplant darlingtona Cobra And one ambumelides in extra. It’s a one card combo which gives u free interruption or gets u branded fusion… even against ash if u play the millunium eyes restrict… and what about bystials? Just asking cuz I rlly like the build u got but would like to know if the add on of these two packages would make the deck 60 cards and still viable

I used to love the keeper package when I played branded Tearlaments! Always nice to search instant fusion for the free Kitkalos. However in this build I don’t think I would like it simply because there is already a searchable and conflicting normal summon with mirror sword knight. If keeper or mirror had a branded opening type spell to special summon, I would 100% run it, but as of now I don’t think Keeper is a great fit I do think bystials could have a place in the deck though! I would love to try 3 lubellion and 1 of each of the bystials and the continuous spell /traps

How does the fusion deployment protect the berf? Relativly new to YGO in general and have been playing branded chimera at my locals but looking to add these cards as well.

By protect, I mean that if your opponent activates an effect that targets the berfomet like infinite impermanence or effect veiler, if you chain Cartesia using the berfomet as material, the berfomets effect will not be negated and you still get your searches

Could u tell me how nadir and Fusion deployment are also starters ?

They are not starters for the chimera engine, but they are starters that get you into the Cartesia engine which alone is 2 interruptions

15 cards of non-engine confused me at first, thought it was your sidedeck lol. Is there any reason you run 1 Albion and 2 Mirrorjade? I think the second Albion comes up a lot more often...

I do think you are correct in running the second Albion. I have actually flipped the ratio to 1 mirror, 2 Albion

Branded chimera … my problem was always that there are just the 9 starters.. I dont get how people describe it as better, but your deck is the solution I guess🫵🏽
