I looove your hair 😍😍 I’m 4 months loc’d and I would say plllleeeease be careful with all these products. I would just use a water based leave in to add moisture back into your hair after washing and seal it in with a light oil. You’ll experience a lot of unraveling, slippage and too much moisture will slow down the locking process. Trust, those ends aren’t locking anytime soon lol.

Your hair turned out beautiful but please braid and band your new locs when washing for the year or you will get unraveling and bunching.

I always tell people after the first wash they will never go back 😂 Just a suggestion: gel can by drying overtime so maybe try out some style foams for hold? Lotta body is my fav!

So pretty!! With the conditioners, do you experience any unraveling? I use a water and conditioner spray and some of mine u ravel up to the interloc'd portion. 😬 I am only 4 months in but I really want to use a water based conditioner on wash days.

The twists have not unraveled because I twisted them pretty tight & my hair is super thick. I have experienced very minimal unraveling on the ends, but I don’t mind because I also unravel them myself in order to retwist the ends. I want to keep my ends curly, so that’s not a problem for me.

I started my microlocs mid April. Wash day was heaven! I haven't used conditioner as all the videos tend to speak negatively on it but i may for my ends, which I'd like to keep curly as well. Your locs look lovely! Have you experienced any unraveling?

Beautiful hair but please please be careful with all these products🥴🥴. Many microlocks/sisterlocks consultants recommend only shampoo and water. Conditioners, oils, pomades, and edge control can weigh the hair down, clog scalp and slow down the locking process. I know you want to recreate all the cute styles you see on your hair inspos but patience will be key in your journey. The less you do to your hair right now the better your locs will be.
