❤❤❤ love Recife! Olinda is must to go too! 🎉 You definitely have to check the coco de roda and Maracatu parties both are the most vibe you can get from Afro-Brazilian culture in Recife/ Olinda. Also check out Xambá terreiro, it's a unique African Brazilian "branched" directly from Xambá back to Africa. They have a museum with really informative tours. I can put you in contact with someone. If you guys would like it. ❤❤ enjoy guys! I live in the US. I miss all there, Salvador, Recife, Olinda e João Pessoa as well. Which have paradisiac places like Coqueirinho beach, Tabatinga all in Paraíba, one hour from Recife. Easy to go...

Being in Salvador for as long as you were, I'm sure Recife is a bit of a culture shock. Porto de Galinhas and Olinda are great day trips, and I'd say Olinda is a must given it's great historic preservation and beauty. Porto de Galinhas has beautiful beaches with crystal clear water and not far away.

You guys have to visit the Historic Centre of Olinda on a sunday evening! It's definetely a must-go. And you also should go to the northwest zone of the city of Recife and visit places like Parque da Jaqueira (the main park around here - it has a lot of chill vibes and green area to relax and spend the time during the afternoon, people usually go there on the weekends to have picnics.. it's such a cool place, you will not regret it). Hope you enjoy your time here! Waiting for the next vids :)

In Brazil, natural foods such as fruit, vegetables and homemade food are relatively cheap.... what is expensive are processed and manufactured foods. One of the things that foreigners complain about when they come to Brazil is that they don't have much variety of frozen foods or snacks, etc... But our homemade meals are great and cheap..

Man, Brazil is a country with great miscegenation. This view of "black", "white" is not very interesting. Look at my face, I'm white, my mother is black, my father is white. My family is all mixed ethnicities, and this is very common across the country with families of various mixed ethnicities. Couples of various ethnicities is super common. This simplistic view of "black" or "white" is long overdue.
@TheYarbros
Жыл бұрын
@@williamthierry5976 so while it may not be interesting to you it is interesting to people who identify as black in Brazil and to a lot of people outside of Brazil because we see the racism.... we see the police harassments, we see the concentration of black poor people, we see the misleading of political figures. We also see people standing up and saying this is not right. It is a great story line of a people fighting for their rights but it is also only the beginning. Brazil is much more than race but race is a big part of Brazil mixed or not. Often it seems like it is only the white looking people that don't want to acknowledge the problems.

Olinda Olinda is the neighboring city of Recife, but the two are so close that they almost seem one and in thirty minutes by car you reach your destination. The city's charm is certainly the colorful houses on the steep slopes that are crowded with revelers during Carnival. A basic city tour can go through the following points: Nossa Senhora do Amparo Church; Church of Mercy; Brazilian Imaginary Arts Store; House of Giant Dolls; Observatory; Church of Alto da Sé; Convent of San Francisco; Carmo Church; Rua de São Bento and the Monastery of São Bento.
