    ❤❤❤ love Recife! Olinda is must to go too! 🎉 You definitely have to check the coco de roda and Maracatu parties both are the most vibe you can get from Afro-Brazilian culture in Recife/ Olinda. Also check out Xambá terreiro, it's a unique African Brazilian "branched" directly from Xambá back to Africa. They have a museum with really informative tours. I can put you in contact with someone. If you guys would like it. ❤❤ enjoy guys! I live in the US. I miss all there, Salvador, Recife, Olinda e João Pessoa as well. Which have paradisiac places like Coqueirinho beach, Tabatinga all in Paraíba, one hour from Recife. Easy to go...

    Being in Salvador for as long as you were, I'm sure Recife is a bit of a culture shock. Porto de Galinhas and Olinda are great day trips, and I'd say Olinda is a must given it's great historic preservation and beauty. Porto de Galinhas has beautiful beaches with crystal clear water and not far away.

And you also should go to the northwest zone of the city of Recife and visit places like Parque da Jaqueira (the main park around here - it has a lot of chill vibes and green area to relax and spend the time during the afternoon, people usually go there on the weekends to have picnics.. it's such a cool place, you will not regret it). In Brazil, natural foods such as fruit, vegetables and homemade food are relatively cheap.... what is expensive are processed and manufactured foods. One of the things that foreigners complain about when they come to Brazil is that they don't have much variety of frozen foods or snacks, etc... But our homemade meals are great and cheap..

    Man, Brazil is a country with great miscegenation. This view of "black", "white" is not very interesting. Look at my face, I'm white, my mother is black, my father is white. My family is all mixed ethnicities, and this is very common across the country with families of various mixed ethnicities. Couples of various ethnicities is super common. This simplistic view of "black" or "white" is long overdue.

  • @TheYarbros

    @TheYarbros

    Жыл бұрын

    @@williamthierry5976 so while it may not be interesting to you it is interesting to people who identify as black in Brazil and to a lot of people outside of Brazil because we see the racism.... we see the police harassments, we see the concentration of black poor people, we see the misleading of political figures. We also see people standing up and saying this is not right. It is a great story line of a people fighting for their rights but it is also only the beginning. Brazil is much more than race but race is a big part of Brazil mixed or not. Often it seems like it is only the white looking people that don't want to acknowledge the problems.

A must to see is the sunset in Jacaré Beach (that is not really a beach but a river). Two hours to the north, Pipa is wonderful, already in the next state. If you like modern art, do not miss the Brennand's museum in Recife. Good vibes for you.

    This is so cool, congratulations on the video. I find it very interesting that you really explore the cities you are in, experiencing a little bit of what we live here in Brazil. Yes, the sun can be a very influential factor in our day-to-day decisions, especially in the states north of Rio de Janeiro, between 11 am and 3 pm, hahaha! I hope you make more videos in Recife. I haven't been there yet, so it would be really cool to get to know it a bit more through your perspective.

    Love this, you definitely got some suuuuun, there's an area in boa viagem that has a natural barrier so you can avoid sharks, you can see people fishing and bathing, but I guess is better to be safe. The weather is pretty much the same all year, long rainy season but you'll never get to 90° even in the summer. Please visit Olinda and tell us what you think, Salvador is my favorite but Olinda is very special, highly recommend. Also the bolo de rolo there is deliciouuuuus!

    Olinda Olinda is the neighboring city of Recife, but the two are so close that they almost seem one and in thirty minutes by car you reach your destination. The city's charm is certainly the colorful houses on the steep slopes that are crowded with revelers during Carnival. A basic city tour can go through the following points: Nossa Senhora do Amparo Church; Church of Mercy; Brazilian Imaginary Arts Store; House of Giant Dolls; Observatory; Church of Alto da Sé; Convent of San Francisco; Carmo Church; Rua de São Bento and the Monastery of São Bento.

    You should definitely try also visiting some smaller towns, specially in the northeast region. Not far from Recife you can go to Porto de Galinhas, Carneiros and Maragogi (this last one is in Alagoas, another state, but it is a 2 or 3 hour drive from Recife). You can bath there and forget about the sharks! Also, they are all among the most beautiful beaches you're bound to see. Of course, if you have the opportunity, try visiting Fernando de Noronha Island.

    A few suggestions of must-go restaurants that are out of the main touristic routes (if you still have time for that). They are a little pricey, but definitely worth the visit to try amazing dishes. Some of them are among the best restaurants in the country: - Retetéu - Arvo - Arvo - Cajá - São Pedro - Terraço Capibaribe

I would reccomend u guys also go a bit out of the big cities :):):) I think the best of Brazil can be offered further away from big cities (Jeri, Chapada Diamantina, Canoa Quebrada, Pomerode, Ilha de Marajó, Paraty, Barreirinhas, Brotas, Ilhabela, Serra da Capivara, etc etc)

    You guys should definitely check out Olinda and Porto de galinhas (I would rent a car for this one, 1-2 hours drive, US DL and passport is all you need). Near where you guys are there is the “feirinha da boa viagem” go check that, bunch of local food and craftwork. Also be careful with your phone and camera in Boa Viagem. Idk if you guys are going back to São Paulo but you should def check some decent all you can eat sushi around there.
