I just wanna share our experience too.. we reached here on September 6th.. I am a student of Sheffield Hallam University. From India we searched a lot for accommodation and at that time we cm to know many scams are happening.. We had an experience, that a lady was the landlord and she said that she is in Spain and she bought the property for her daughter who is studying here and now her studies are over and she went back to Spain, so that the lady is giving this house for rent.. and she said all she need is to look after the house neatly.. and asked for 600£ per month.. and demanded to pay £1000+ to her account as soon as possible.. but we didn’t do that.. we found something wrong.. and then after the enquiry with our friends over here came to know that there is no property like this as the lady said.. So, if anybody is looking for an accommodation and about to pay the deposit and first month rent, before you pay, just make sure with your friends or trustable persons that the accommodation is ready for you to occupy and it’s not a spam.
