I don't know about viit much Regarding Pccoe , it's strict but the education quality is very good Placement percentage & average is also good for IT & CS I cannot choose a college for you I can just show you a path!

Hostel facility is not good in my opinion The food in the mess also only focuses on the quantity and not the quality that's the reason it's has a very bad taste Regarding the internet , internet is available in the college campus not the hostel.

70-75 % percent students are placed in the final year Entc Mostly being in IT Domain Average pack here is 4L. This year highest package was 9L (Cognizant) Don't know much about the placement that students actually get in vit so can't compare.

You cannot change branch In the direct second year (DSE) If you like what you have studied till now , i recommend you to don't change branch Talking about the college placement for mechanical engineering There are very few placement in mechanical domain Because of which everyone is shifting to IT now
