It makes them look worse if you're sweet as pie and they screw up. You made them look tolerant and kind. Grats to those officers, you pass my smell test. Mr. Trey I commend the fact you're committed to our freedom. I'm grateful. I'm with the vast majority that more respect tact and respect. Follow Jeff Gray and others like PINAC. Flex your rights, stay firm! But do it with dignity and professionalism. Stay safe know your rights before you conduct audits. Familiarize yourself with federal statutes that speak of the power of authority. best wishes.

I would normally agree with you, but I actually think a first amendment middle finger given to every officer that approaches a photog not breaking the law only to question your mental health or begin to get you into a dialogue only to tell you how you are now breaking the law by talking is apropos.

I have no problem with taking it to the extreme by flipping them off. If police act well in the extreme it would be reasonable to assume they act well in lesser situations. I was amazed that they actually acted great in their response. They looked upset with you which is fine for them to feel however they want; but after checking you out, which I'm OK with them doing that because you're acting "odd" and it would be negligent to just ignore you completely, they didn't escalate at all which is very commendable. Other than the first guy incorrectly stating that swearing in public is disorderly conduct, I would suggest going to the department and commending them on their behavior. It would be a neat idea to act extreme and then if good response give good feedback to the department, if bad response file complaints. If you want the good responses to continue it's wise to give good feedback.

I am a firm believer in the 1st amendment and free speech. However there is a fine line between free speech and just being rude. Just because a policeman talks to you is not a good reason to be rude If he / she persist and try to violate your rights than that a bit different Please do not give everyone that believes in the constitution and the bill of rights a big name and a negative image by being rude just because you can

Hey TC! You have a really good strong presence. Think a bit less of the Middle finger might be good, since you don't need it! They already know they are "offering to help" someone who knows their rights, and that you won't take any nonsense. Get a camera-buddy to watch and film you, bambouser yourself up, do a bit on rehearsal of answers, as suggested by a couple of other guys before me, and I reckon you're good to go! Happy hunting and exposure of over zealous, institutionalised cops, who should know the law if they are to be the constitutional police. There are no exceptions for them, and they are going to learn the way, be that voluntary, or imposed - by the people! Your the one, tip top, top cat!

My disclaimer: I have no political affiliations with any US political party or any police organizations anywhere. I have friends of many different: colors, faiths, net worth, types of employment & sexual orientations. I have, no biases! My opinions are based on facts & not personal beliefs. My moral compass is based on the bible, the Constitution & the Bill Of Rights. Well done "Greenville County Sheriff's Office" for in the manner you handled this encounter. Thank you for honoring this individual's 1st Amendment rights. Trey's goal is commendable but his dialogue sucks & needs some refining. Giving the officers the finger is not the way to treat anyone who hasn't provoked you. Anyone under those circumstances may consider that irrational behavior & indicative that person may be mentally unstable or on drugs. For those situations police backup is standard procedure because the strength of these people is off the scales & to much for one person to handle. With so many people nowadays on meds thanks to Big Pharma & the proliferation of drugs in our culture. Officers have to take precautionary measures more often than in the past. With backup there is less chance that the encounter will turn out deadly for the citizen. So the officer did the right thing by calling for backup where the situational outcome was uncertain & could have turned violent. For the person that said all officers are drug affiliated. Officers, at the street level, are very seldom involved with putting drugs on the street. So, they shouldn't be treated as if they are corrupt. Trey's offer in a reply to a comment that he is willing to listen to ways to improve testing "1st Amendment Rights" shows that his heart is in the right place & his cause is worthy. However, his inexperience shows, when his rudeness is uncalled for. If Trey is really serious about getting better at what he's doing. My suggestion is that he volunteer to go on a ride-along with the local police for a couple of days. Then he will better understand what's going through the cop's mind during various encounters. You'll also find out that they are human as well. There are good & bad humans in every job & everywhere else. I've monitored the police & politics Internationally full-time for more than a decade & yes there has been an erosion of Rights & the Constitution that has escalated dramatically since 911 & more so with Obama. If Constitutionally Rights aren't exercised & defended on a regular basis they will be lost for a long time or forever. That has happened in the US & elsewhere & the main reason why the situation is as dire as it is today. Not all cops are bad cops & many of the good cops are ostracized by the bad ones in a Police dept. It's important that we don't lump the good with the bad cops & treat them all with disdain & outright rudeness. That attitude further alienates the good cops who are our last defense in good policing. With blowback from the public & the corrupt cops. They will eventually just give up & quit to go work somewhere else where they can at least get some level of respect. Then all we will have left policing are the bad cops wreaking havoc on innocent people. Changes in police training & lowering the standard requirements for police applicants have been a couple of the principal reasons why policing is no longer what it was a few decades ago. The militarization of police since the early 2000's has in many cases drastically changed the mindset of the local & State police in the way they approach (potential) incidents. Miltarized police view & approach the public differently & often are in an already escalated state approaching any confrontation. I don't believe these policy changes are beneficial to the police or the public. A gradual return to responsible policing as it has been practised in the past has to be undertaken taking into account the changes in demographics, etc.. A few decades ago. Law enforcement was more personal, better policed & community oriented. Back the, providing the Sherriff's Dept. was big enough. Standard policing policies more often than not partnered two officers in the same car. Budgetary cutbacks, etc. drastically reduced almost every patrol to just one officer. With two officers they can back each other up & the incident can be approached with less tension & chance of escalation to deadly force. It's just common sense. If there had been two officers patrolling together when you were approached. It would be very doubtful additional backup would have been called. Support your State, local police & military but keep them accountable. The same goes for your Federal, State & Local Representatives. Organize representative groups amongst you so that there is a common voice that wields more power politically. There's much work to be done but it should be done through peaceful means. Peace!

Aren't you a normal human being trying to make it through another day in this sin-sick wicked Obamanation, just like these Police Officers? - since you're no better or worse of a human being than them? Or ARE you? And about "getting pulled over and given a ticket for going 3 mph over the Limit."-- Another post here makes it out to be some big CRIME by a cop cuz he gave some tickets "for 3 over" - and the cop-hater asks "would you want to be pulled over for (that)?" Answer: NO! Solution: Slow down 3 mph and drive WITHIN THE LAWFUL LIMIT! THEN YOU will NOT be a Lawbreaker and will NOT be pulled over and ticketed. SIMPLE! I'll bet you, if you could see into the heart of this video man, Trey, (like GOD can & does), you'll see that he wished he could get away with that middle finger being a .45 cal. ??? Just another sick cop-hater and "Murderer in his heart". Tell me I'm wrong, PLEASE.

The reason it isn't my job is because I am a citizen and they are not. They wear a uniform that makes it incumbent on them to demonstrate and uphold the constitution. That uniform IS the reason they must rise above puerile gestures. That uniform (and gun) is also the reason many cops think they can exploit those rights and the constitition. It is our responsibility to ensure and flex those rights on camera to root out the endemic corruption in the force. Personalising the uniform is fine when the person wearing it doesn't attempt to ID you for no reason. Until that stops...raise your finger and test the uniform first. By the way..3 miles over the limit is within the law. Thats why the tickets were unlawful.

TruthBrigader1 - You're wrong. It is my job as an American to put up with whatever people say about me as long as it isn't a lie or a threat. It's called "freedom of speech," and I served to protect it. If someone slanders me, I can sue in civil court. If someone threatens me, the state can prosecute them. I'm not a cop hater. I'm a bad cop hater, and I approve of whatever means are used to discover who those are. Finding them as part of a plan, and capturing video evidence of their wrongdoing so it can be addressed properly is preferable to not finding out they're just a thug with a badge until a cop in South Carolina decides to slaughter a motorist running away. And if not for the video captured by an innocent bystander who cared enough to watch and record, the cop would have gotten away with murder. The first time Rosa Parks sat in the front of the bus, she was arrested by bad cops. The Civil Rights movement would have only lasted 2 weeks if tiny cameras and the internet had existed 50 years ago. I know because I helped back then.

This does present an interesting question... Generally speaking.... I am a polite person and I try to treat people the way they treat me..... Trouble doesn't find me very often... I see far too many of these videos where the citizen is acting politely but the officer is able to abuse with impunity... While I totally agree that the camera person here is not even remotely nice to the cops here... He walks away... And I then remember.. To whom much is given, much is expected.. These officers should maintain the highest standards of professionalism and restraint and in this case, that is exactly what they did. I also remember that they do have the power to arrest, detain, and use deadly force. A citizen only has the courts. I am a man who gambles but I truly believe that the officer who can walk away from an abusive citizen is more of an exception than a rule. I hope that changes. Meantime... I hope that both citizens and police can act within their boundaries. Peace....

You know those videos ppl record of their cat or dog sneaking up on them? Every time they look the pet freezes, they look away for a second and then, when they look back the pet is a few feet closer... lmao, Officer Manly seemed to be doing exactly that.

Pretty good but the first cop did attempt to catch the auditor by suggesting mental issues, which is a terrible punishment in a hospital with drugs and restraints if he arrests him. Basically the cop would have done it.

Trey, you're a young man, do not sink to the level of "baiting cops" by flipping them off etc. Sure its your right, but it makes it look like you are only trying to anger them. Use your rights wisely and justly and let the police hang themselves, and believe me, they will. Just from a viewers perspective, try and talk to the camera a little more during "down" time. Let us know where you are, what you're doing etc... makes for better viewing and possibly MANY more Subs. You've got a good thing going and I see allot of potential for your channel. And hey, may as well try and get paid for doing this right? Good luck my friend.

That was pretty good except for the finger. Although they deserve it, part of what's good about these videos is showing people how the cops behave, but instead you're drawing negative attention to yourself. Kind of defeats the purpose unless you just want to "sing to the choir".
