1999 GMC Sonoma - Is 25 Years Too Old for a Daily Driver in 2024? (POV Drive Review)

Ойындар

Hello everyone! Today we reviewed my friend's work truck, a 1999 GMC Sonoma. This has been my favorite review that I have done so far (not for long! ;)) This truck was a lot of fun to drive, I love older cars!

I bought a new 99 S10 back then, same pewter color, but mine had the ZQ8 pkg, same lowering kit as the Extreme with Gator year gator tires, it handled like a Porsche but had a very low powered 4 cylinder but still loved that truck

It really does handle well. I've gotten so used to it that I scare people taking 55mph turns at 75mph smoothly

Ive got the same exact truck, 250k all original truck. Only new part is a radiator i put in last week. Was low on coolant for a year before seeing the cracks in the radiator.

The vehicle doesn't know it's old! I have a 2001 Saturn LW300 I bought new. It currently has 335,000 miles on the original engine and transmission and starts stops runs and drives perfectly. The only thing that doesn't work on it is the cassette player. In June we went on a 2000 Mi round trip from Wisconsin to Texas to pick up our new German Shepherd puppy. Never failed to start or leave anybody stranded and problems have been few and far between and mostly minor. I have three other vehicles including a 2024 but I'm not afraid to drive to Saturn anytime or for any distance. With proper maintenance and the owner willing to pay for repairs vehicles can last almost indefinitely and safely be driven every day.

@@SNLOOB it is originally a 99 Sonoma, it had front end damage so it was replaced with a Chevy front end that fit it. This has the 2.2 4 cylinder engine, so I don’t think it would come with all those features if it is a lower trim model.
