RIP José María Jiménez. Also the fateful race that forged Lance Armstrong into a Tour contender. The familiarity brings joy, but the passage of time adds a soft, protective layer of distance, making the memories feel safe and cherished.

Great riders, aggressive, powerful. Cyclists nowadays just don’t have these Power.

I wonder if the riders of this era look at the sport now and think, why did we have to go through what we did?

i was looking for a comment like yours and thank god a soul thought about it. no wonder why they needed to dope to the roof to endure that kinda shit... unreal grinding in the slopes. heat and no air because of fans on the road sides. this looks like a nightmare. a hell of a nightmare.
