My mom has a 2002 Honda Civic Dx and one of the bulb for gear {D} went out so I replaced it. After I replaced one of the dash boad light for {D} , I put everything back together and after I plugged the yellow clip and blue clip back in the unit , the thermostate(temperature) gauge needle goes way far below letter C when I clearly put the needle ON letter C not below C - I just don't get it. Please help me out .

@@RenePicazo my accord 2003 has a inconsistent intensity knob. When I touch it the brightness fluctuates unevenly. Do you recommend using some contact cleaner to spray the potentiometer? And 2ndly can you confirm if we can just change the bulbs and use the old bulb holders. Or does the part come with the bulb built into the black holder?

Excellent video, thank you. Side note: all Japanese phillips head screws are actually not phillips. They're JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). Using an American (or other) phillips head screwdriver (Kobalt in video) will increase the odds of rounding them out. Invest in a nice set of JIS screwdrivers and they'll pay dividends with a solid lock in the head of each screw. Works for Honda, Toyota, Mazda, and all other Japanese brands. Vessell makes a nice set. Google JIS screwdrivers to see the exact differences in the head shape. Not being critical, just pointing it out for others. I didn't know JIS screws and drivers were a thing till ~10 years ago. Again, thank you for all the details on which bulb goes where!

oh and a got tip for y'all replacing bulbs: once you remove the bad bulb, always wiggle the connector a few times with the new bulb - i.e. twist the socket a few times back and forth: it helps remove oxidation of the circuit board traces. How do I know ? I had a hard time with one of them until it dawned on me what the problem was.

Are these lights able to be replaced with LED? I had a 04 TL and I changed all the dash and radio/instrument panel with red and blue LED lights instead of that generic pale green. It looked really sharp. I wish I had a picture of it. Like I used a red LED to light up the raise temp button and blue for lower etc. Anyways if they do make them and you know where I can order the LEDs for this car can you post a link please!

Sorry, my bad. All is the video. Great Job, Rene. Thanks to you, I replaced my odometer light and D4. Strange things is, when ignition at 2, the D4 is on for about 3 seconds then off. The internet says it due to 1. My tranny is bad and need to be check 2. It's normal because stated on the manual What do you think, guyss?

Aren't the D4, D3, etc. bulbs actually a T5 bulb put in a special socket? Can they be replaced by LED bulb?

@@landonrogers8939 I replaced the backlight bulbs with W5W LEDs, just placed them in the Honda socket. Works great, and a lot less heat. A little bit too bright even at the dimmest setting, but not as much of an issue as odometer ciphers going out because of too much heat.

My I also suggest, when touching the circuit board make sure you’ve grounded yourself first and ALWAYS hold the edges. Don’t touch any other part of the board, a spark can fry it
