Awesome bike man I have the same one!! Mines a 97 yz 125. I used to own a brand new yz 250f and loved that too it's been difficult to transition to a two stroke but I've learned to shift my weight around and I have to keep my weight forward to control the front end when ecceleration and the lack of engine braking was tough to get used to at first also. But I have always loved two strokes they're just wild and I love it. I'm also learning how to rev it higher going off the face of jumps. Im a bit uneasy because it's snappy but if you learn the proper standing attack position and really focus on using your legs to control the bike and squeeze it makes a big difference! One thing I'll say is i'de recommend slapping some pro taper yz high bend handlebars on there. You'll need a 7/8th to 1 1/8th or whatever conversion kit off someplace like motosport but I'm 5'11 and I absolutely love the bar setup. Also mine has a asv clutch perch/Un breakable.

yamahaman2009 if you ever decide to upgrade to an aftermarket pipe I’d be interested in your stock one, I’ve been looking for a stock one for my 1997 yz 125 for over 4 years now, it’s a lot harder to find a stock one than you’d think!

I got a 97 yz 125 2 years ago, little work here and there but runs sooooo nice!
