Actually the first color tama was released in 2008. Since then, they have just been releasing color tamagotchis (except the re-releases)

Currently playing with my tamagotchi from 1997 , it is so fun and brings me back to my childhood I was like 5 years old but still remember these somehow, they are so cute and fun 😊

Tamagotchi Friends was released in 2013. I've got same as yours, both my kids got them too. We love them, they are easy but much fun to play with friends, you get more bonus when you tap tap tap :) I am a big Tamagotchi fan too and want to get me the new coloured version of it Tamagotchi 4U Plus :) they even more fun!

Haha, my old tama has all its buttons, but the screen has gone very odd. I'd definitely recommend checking out one of the M!X tamagotchis. They're fully lit, colored and way more in-depth!

You should've gotten the Tamagotchi M!x. That's actually the newest Tamagotchi and it's in color. I think you wouldn't liked it better. Also there's a newer American one out which is kinda like that but like the 2nd version, it's the Tamagotchi Dream Town Digital Friends. Also you can change the darkness on the one you have so that you can see it better. It's in the instruction manual.

Wowey, I didn't realise there were so many options. When I went on Amazon this was the only one I came across...I clearly should have done more research. I did work out how to adjust the lighting of the screen but unfortunately it's still difficult to see...must be my age haha

No, the Tamagotchi Friends came out in 2013-2014. The original Tamagotchi came out in 1996-1997. The latest Tamagotchi is a Dream Mix, which is actually a color tama.

Look up cutiepiekawaii here or eBay I got all mine from cutiepiekawaii there's so many more now. They have the tamagotchi P's, 4u, 4u+, mix (different versions) there's a Sanrio Mix and there's anniversary editions jist so many! On my channel I have a few videos showing them
