Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Quick Speed Shop on the road and checking out my buddy's 1997 Jeep TJ project. He gives an update on his progress and describes some of the frame and tub repairs he has done.

This is a great video. I hate that I have to search through so much crap to get to quality videos that just get to the point and provide useful info!

I ended up buying a replacement TJ, that I'll be transferring all the lift and armor parts from the old to the new. Mine was a Chicago Jeep that is slowly dying of cancer. Good luck with this project!

I have a 2001 TJ that needs similar work, but it is on the end of a long list of things to do and at 75 I somehow don't get things done as fast as I used to, but I still do get things done, don't know any better.

Damn….I’m impressed! Well done, brother! But I’m in my mid 60s….I no longer have the time,,patience, too,s or skills to do this type of thing. I’m an original owner of a spec-ordered 1997 TJ Sport. 148k on the clock…all my kids learned “stick” on her. I’ve had those pre-made frame patches applied, replaced both front fenders and windshield frame. As I have some disposable funds, I’m considering paying a restoration specialist, and replace the entire frame, have it completely rebuilt. I just don’t have the heart to sell her….I feel that I should be able to have this done for close to $20k. Any suggestions on who does this type of complete restoration? (I live in New England, but am willing to travel to have this done properly.

I don't know anyone that is in the business, but it probably will be all of the $20k to have Jeep fully restored. If you have the sentimental attachment I guess it might be worth it if you want to keep it forever. You could buy a really nice TJ from out west for $20k.

Beautiful job. And always fill your frame with diesel fuel or a different anti rust penitent oil or your choice. Your inside of the frame rusts the most as we know and this will completely stop it from what I heard. Diesel is cheap do it. It would be a good idea to hit the torque boxes with diesel as well. That's where I actually had some rust holes. My frame is solid. Just painting the outside of the frame.
