Damn that cabover semi is sweeeeeet! 🚛👍 Brings back memories here in the USA. Back in the day when the length limit here in the USA was shorter, cabover semis were the king of the roads.

I was Working at an IHC Truck Dealer at that time. By the time this truck was built any bugs or weaknesses were improved. I Spent many hours in the Cabs of IH Trucks repairing things that wear out. It was a good living.

Planning to put historical plates on it next spring spring so I can play with the 18 speed. Ordered a 2021 LT625 to deliver middle of July with the new international engine and Eaton 12 speed automatic. Been double clutching the last 28 years and my knees need a break before I retire.

Ah yes the IH COE , as starting out as a young mechanic back in the mid 80’s I cut my teeth on the 4070 B then onto the 9670’s plus some Peterbilt 352 & 362. Was never more happier when the 9370 came along. Neat trucks with the flat floors.

That's so funny I used to do the same thing as soon as my dad left the truck I would see how long it takes me to get the air out of the tanks by playing with the seat. My dad always thought that he has an air leak somewhere because he couldn't believe that all the air was gone in just the few minutes he was gone. 😆

I remember the cabover days, most drivers today wouldn't be driving if they had to drive cabover. No power steering, some didn't have heat you would have to tape up your dash to try to keep cold air out and have moving blanket wrapped around your legs trying to stay warm. In summer no a.c. just couple metal fans mounted in sleeper trying to keep hot air moving, most of all having to lay down and put pants on, those were the days...

Had one of these when they first came out, was a great truck, sleeper was huge, could stand up and raise arms over head, and I'm 6 foot tall. You can get into tight spots and easily maneuver, with the passenger side front mirror you could see your license plate, get right up tight. Sitting over the steers was the only real downside, and they were extremely cold in the -45 Canadian winters

Yes that one is in damn fine shape for the year. It was well looked after. I love seeing trucks like that...plus it's an eagle edition..its got all the switches and gauges. Plus it's the rare flat floor wich frees up a ton of space I would happily drive it....got them huge fuel tanks and them flapity flaps on top of thoes 7 inch stovepipes...larger bunk too...ooooh..im getting all excited over here...let me stop before I have to throw myself in a pond of cold water😍🤣 the only thing that would make it better is if it were the raised roof version..international makes a good solid truck...even today .

I'd be willing to put a driver in a modern truck that would be in central Florida every weekend. Moved to Florida to run Reefer. Cabover is sitting in a barn until I go debt free in a couple years. It still needs work. In Ohio I was running liquid asphalt with it and a Prostar. You would need hazmat tanker and a TWIC card to load. A couple years ago I was offering 25% of $6 a loaded mile. Half of the miles are empty running back to the refinery.

Got a story about a international cab over I drove . It was a experience. It had a cat 3406 c with around 100,000 miles on it so mechanically was new. First problem was it was governed at 62 mph. I was running airfreight from SeaTac to Vancouver international. I would put up i5 to exit 272 the Blaine truck crossing get off and cross the boarder . Going straight took you to the car crossing a bad thing in a truck. Anyway I'd get a couple miles from the exit and a Canadian can hauler would pass me . Then he'd back off the throttle and let 15-20 trucks in the left lane pass him. This would cost me 1-2 at Canadian customs sitting in line. I bitched every day about this back in Seattle After a couple weeks of this on my days off my truck was serviced and I found out Monday morning they had ungoverned it. So I did 62 mph all the way until the first can hauler pulled out to pass as he came up alongside my trailer I accelerated just enough to match his speed held him and his buddies all in the left lane until I exited laughing like a mad man smoking weed watch bedazzled . I know at least 3 had to go to the car crossing and turn around . The other issue was long before that 15 years or so I had flipped a truck been ejected and it landed on top of me broke my neck in 2 places and my back in 2 more. (I spent 2 years learning to walk and talk again) but I have no grip in my right had that made climbing in and out of a cabover tougher one handed and I was getting arthritis in my back and neck. Another driver through a fit one day at the terminal demanding not to be dispatched in a cabover anymore. He threw in the part about me . The next day I had a conventional and 3 months later a brand new conventional and a big raise

That cab..is enormous..! Couldn't believe the amount of room inside and the size of the bed. I guess vehicle exterior dimensions are more generous in the US compared to Europe. Over here, there is a max length limit of both truck and trailer i.e.bumper to bumper, which is why we run the cab over engine designs. I worked on and drove big engined Scanias all my driving career..this looks pretty cool though. Liked

sorry if this is a stupid comment but im new to the world of trucks! i really dig the cabover design but i had no idea they had flat floors like that ive only seen ones with a big lumb where i assumed the engine/trans was. so you could stand up on the inside and get a minifridge and cabinet for clothing and stuff in there?! are there more models like this on the market? (used ofcourse)

Yes. This one is the N14 with a 3 inch rise on the floor. The M11 option had the floor completely flat.

I tell ya. It's definitely a classic. I've had 2 Cabovers. I always wanted that eagle flat floor. I used to pick em up in Romulus when shipped over from Canada , to deliver to dealer's here in the states. If you ever consider her going to a very good home. Please keep me in mind.!!!

I wondered the same thing, I had never seen what was considered "flat floor cabovers" .
