KZread has a limit of 2.0 GB on each upload, I had to cut out the pre-race and starting grid to be able to fit it in the 2.0 limit, sorry

This was the beginning of the "super-car team" era, where Hendrick and Roush started dominating the garage area. It was nice seeing a single-car team like Rudd win one of the big races on the schedule.

+Whoopity Doo Yes it was. The super teams have hurt Nascar in the long run. It started to discourge the small teams from trying to run. Back in that era. It if you either had a good car or could build a great driver. Also have a good driver you could be competitive. Now that not the case.

In 1997 they filled the place, in 2007 and ever since they could even fill the front strech grand stands. The racing remaind pretty much the same.

The Chase and constant unnecessary debris cautions made people lose interest.

@Ruddfan1997 It was not held during a holiday, and the track wanted people to see the race the next day, without having to miss work, if there was rain to postpone the race.

I just want to point this out. Ernie Irvan ran so very well at this track during his career! All though he never won the race he came very close a few times! And just about every year he was in the race he was competitive.

@HadesRacing sorry KZread has a 2.0 GB limit on each upload, I would of had to cut out some of race or pre race, barely got it in under the 2.0 limit

Who says this isn't a good track for stock cars. They drove the heck out of those last 10 laps or so.
