In this video I do a brief "How to" on how I safely lifted my 1997 Cadillac Deville in the driveway to remove the 4.6L Northstar v8 through the topside without removing the subframe/cradle. I previous pulled the "New" rebuilt engine on the 1998 Cadillac Deville by lowering the entire cradle/subframe while I was in tech school on the shop lift. Removing the engine from the top is faster, you don't need to mess with the subframe bolts that could be seized in the body, don't need to disconnect your steering rack at the end of the steering column, etc. I plan on doing a tutorial on removing the engine this way from the top in the near future as well as a rebuild tutorial using Northstar Performance "Bulletproof Kit"
