I love Space Jam I still watch Space Jam never gets old

I still have Space Jam Action Figures since I was a kid

I was hooked on Space Jam in fourth grade. Remember wanting those figures too. Never had them

I love Space Jam. One of my all time favourite movies. That cage/basketball net that came with Swackhammer and Tweety is a really smart idea

As a kid I had the whole set, minus the Barnyard Dog and Larry Johnson set and the Moron airship. I got super lucky in my usual weekly hunt for action figures last week. A local antique store had three sets brand new for about 14 bucks each (admittedly I even tried to see if I could get them to go even cheaper, 😂, can’t blame a guy for trying). I picked up the Daffy Duck and Pound set, I’m hoping to go back this weekend and pick up the other two sets, which were Jordan/Sylvester and Barkley/Wile E Coyote.

Pretty cool Michael Jordan's figure is as tall as most of the Monstars. Can't blame him. He's 6'6".

I've always wanted to get my hands on the "MONSTARS" [particularly the PURPLE one] Kudos to anybody who had or still owns own & let alone the entire set

they actually had a space rocket set with marvin the martian, shit looked so dope, as a life long looney tunes fan, i may have to one day buy it.

OMG I had all of these but was never able to find the Pepe Le Pew set. I only was able to get Bang with the space cruiser set. I remember going to every KB toys and K-Mart with my dad trying to find that set! we never did.

Fun fact I stumbled upon while doing my research for this video: The Monstars (Blanko & Nawt) who stole the abilities of Shawn Bradley and Muggsy Bogues don't score any points in the movie. Interestingly, those two NBA players also didn’t get an action figure made of them.

Strangely, I guess they didn't make a Bill Murray either. And we know that dude LOVES licensing his likeness to toys and being remembered for films like this, haha.

This is so awesome! We just opened a bunch of the new toys but was telling my little guy about having all of these, wish I still did! Thanks so much for sharing!

I don't think they stayed on the shelves for too long in stores. I had a lot of trouble finding mine.

I wish Marvin had a whistle and his ref uniform, although he has arguably the coolest accessory.

The chairs are from a craft store called Hobby Lobby. They are located with the doll house furniture in the back of the store. I've also purchased a couple of doll house furniture pieces like a dresser and a side table from Dollar Tree. They were in the toy aisle.

I think you probably just gave the internet the best retrospective on this toy line it will ever see. This is almost museum quality! I mentioned it last week, but I would have LOVED these as a kid. I had no idea they were so well done and well thought out. They all look really good, and the basketball peg/hole is smart (though I guess it borrows a line from TMNT's playbook). And now I need that Charles Barkley figure so I can reenact this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/anplxbGvipbUg5s.html but on my desk when I'm procrastinating/avoiding work.

Aww! Thanks so much for saying that! That's really nice to hear. :-D haha that Charles Barkley game trailer is the most random thing I've watched in a while. That's awesome it's a real game.

I collected these as a kid and never saw the Barnyard Dog one, had no idea it even existed. Other than that I had quite a lot of them, missing the Yosemite, Taz and Tweety sets, and I didn't have any of the big sets like the space ship (think I would have dug having that one, I really really liked the design of both the Nerdlucks and their ship). My favorite figure was Sylvester (which was also the first I got), and Wile E. Coyote. Those figures just looked really cool, and were my favorite Looney Tunes anyway. I thought these figures were well-made and fun to play with, but the Looney Tunes weren't very durable at all. I had to super-glue nearly every single one of them. This movie was huge for me in the 90s, I watched it a lot and played with the figures a lot, going through the movie's story or recreating my own versions of the movie but also coming up with new characters and stories. Thank you for providing this cool look into a figure series that brought me so much joy when I was younger!
