1996 Nissan Pickup LED Headlight Upgrade - Installation Instructions D21 Hardbody HWSTAR 5X7

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I show how easy it is to upgrade a 1996 Nissan Hardbody Pickup from old school sealed beam yellowish color lights to super bright white LED's. It only requires a phillips head screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver, and about 10 minutes of time.

A little clarification on putting the grill back on: you pull the plastic tabs off of the frame and put the square part into the back of the hole in the grill. Then take a pair of pliers and twist the V-shaped spring part so it snaps into the rectangular impression on the back of the grill. Then you line up the Vs to the frame and push the grill back into place. It seems weird to twist a piece of plastic since you'd think it would break but that's how you do it This is the best video on this subject thank you!!

Yessir, this one was purchased in Covington Georgia and has spent last 20 years in Newport News Virginia. A fine example that needs a little more work. Appreciate you watching, giving a thumbs up, and commenting JD. Good luck with your tail light.

Hey DiiirrtyDaanDrift, Thank you for watching and commenting. These lights were a great investment. They still work great with daylight brightness and look like new. I am very pleased with them and think you will be also. I hope you will write back and let us know if you got the chrome or black ones and how you like them once you drive down the road at night.

Thanks for the informative video Gregg.....just bought these units for my 2002 Ford E-150 van and can't wait to hook up both the standard low/hi beam setup but also the daytime running light AND the turn signal. More visibility to the other guy is always better!

Hey Dr WHO, Thank you for watching and leaving a comment. I really enjoyed driving with these lights. They have super bright and clear output. If you have the time,, please write back in after you install and let us know how it goes, if there were any troubles, and how you like the results including the signals and DRL.

Hey Brent, I picked it up from the original owner a while back. Going through the little repairs and upgrades now. I plan to clean it up real good and list it for sale. I appreciate you watching and leaving a comment.

@@GreggFesto You lucked out finding a one owner ( I'm the original owner of a 1986 S10). A good friend has a Nissan like yours with over 450K miles on it. It's pretty rough but it's reliable and keeps on going. They are definitely worth fixing up, using and hanging on to. They will do pretty much anything a new truck can. Enjoy!

@@GreggFesto I'll tell you one of the best repairs I recently did was replacing my original window and door seals. They deteriorated slowly over time so I had gotten used to the noises. It's quiet like a new truck again. Well worth the effort.

Brent, I like S10's too. I think your right about this truck and that someone else will feel like we do and get it. They hopefully will respect it and use it until it reaches 450k like your friend's.

I agree with you about the seals. In addition to the noise level drop you mention, they will cut down on the amount of water that runs through the door as well. I can tell a big difference on my Mustang since I did them. Thanks for the great comments Brent, much appreciated.
