Love 2-stroke sound, but there is something special about a pro ringing the neck of a 125.

@@dennismckean8773 Yes and no. Villopoto did it in 2007. He won both races he was in. Roczen did it in 2013 with Tomac right on his tail the whole time in the MX2 and Open race. Edit: I know they weren’t the 125’s but they still did it on the “smaller” bikes against the “bigger” bike riders.

Emig manned up with team Kawasaki after Honda cried they didn't have a 500 ready. He really did great for something he never raced before. Now Kawasaki said uhm no thanks we can't send our American champs to the race.

Which is why we should not buy a Kawasaki through 2020. If one or more factories do the same thing, this race is going to end. Us consumers have a lot of power here.

Tortelli was super fast and super solid when he was racing 250's outdoors in the states. A hand full of guys would keep RC in sight, and he was one of 3 who had beaten RC outdoors in a moto on the 250. I think just Sebastian, (won several), James, (won several) and Tim Ferry won a moto, (kept RC from 3 perfect national titles.).

The GOAT SX with 72 wins, no doubt. But in 96, he was the fastest from Lake Havasu because MC was buying the beer. The only real effort he put into the 250 nationals was 95, and he proved he could win it. But overall, it was too much work for him, and he was one of the, if not the first racer, to choose not to race one of the year's series. So he finished his last 2 or 3 years racing SX with RC showing him what dedication was. Of course, RC showed everybody for over a decade, what dedication was.

We killed the other countries that year. 😁 Im sorry, but Stefan Everts is not on the level of RC, who people like to compare him to. Seems like Everts could only win when guys like Albertyn, Tortelli, Lamson or Windham werent around. Was he very, very good? Yes. Is he on RC's level? No way. Lamson just killed it, but Tortelli did prove that 1995 hadnt been a fluke by almost catching Steve in the 1st race. McGrath was at his absolute best in riding outdoors in '96 too. This really was like the 1986 "Dream Team" of Bailey, Johnson, and O'Mara
