They would still be highly competitive for the next several years however from the start of the 2000's onwards the decline went into overdrive. We have some good young players now but I'm not sure if I will ever see another world beating dominant West Indies team again.

WI already looked the weaker team by the 92 Aus series. Australia for me was the better team even then. It was only Ambrose on Perth that won them then. Ambrose again won them the Perth test in 96-97 series but by then Aus was too far ahead of them. Also WI were already beatable by 88-89. Viv was no more the force he was in the 77-83 period. The big cat, the very underrated Lloyd was gone, Greenidge was last his best. It is the 1st time I ever seeing this 1995 series against the WI vs Australia beaten them,at Sabina Park Kingston Jamaica. Becaused I already migrated to the united state, and the cable 🚠 TV in those days. Wasn't carrying cricket in the united state at all, so we only heard the Jamaica news in the morning time. Listening to what Holding is talking his nonessentical argument, about the pitches need some more grasses on it. To helped the WI bowlers them , they just don't good at all. Becaused it is the same pitches that the Australian bowlers them bowled on, and the batsmen batted on. So Holding should have ashamed of himself,by making a very stupid argument like that. The only way I would believed his stupidity argument, unless. The WI team batted on a different pitches and, also bowled . That Holding could be blaming the preparation of the pitches, the players them does not good enough. To competed with the Australian players them, they was out played in all areas of the games. The players especially the batsmen them, they played some atrocious shots giving away their wickets. The WI players them when they loose, they always trying to blamed someone from their poor performances over the years. I know that you have some cyber bullies out there, they does not like to hear the truth. This video is available for anyone to watched it, to see how poorly the WI team played. The team are in danger and, nobody does not have any form of patience. To go out there and try to play with any form of sense, everyone is trying to play big shots giving away their wickets. Then they are blaming the preparation of the pitches, which is not true at all.I am going to shared the videos them with the games them, to let everyone sees their poor performances and. Nothing at all is wrong with the pitches, because they does not know how to bat and bowled properly ok .
