I had an 87 W201 5 speed and got obsessed with it and had to sell it because I was going broke fixing it up and needed just a regular car for work. Now that I'm financially stable I regret it but that's life.

From what I gather and looking at videos it is not a major deal kind of and unplug and plug it exercise. Less work that the top cylinders

Beware! This seems to have been made in the years of the dreaded biodegradeable wiring insulation issue.

Mike I plan on inspecting/replacing the harness if not already replaced. Replacing all the top cylinders first

@@americandreamgarage3054 Thanks for the response. I'm wondering how many hours of labor replacing the wiring harnesses would be. A lot of labor costs if you're paying someone else to do it.
