In a sense they made the current era. They were the first 'Hip-hop' style rappers who flaunted their wealth. There are very few other examples from before 1991. Lots of the current rappers probably grew up with California and memphis hip hop and rap, so it likely is why things are the way they are today. These guys were so ahead.

Out of all the great albums(underground and nationwide) this is my favorite "3-6" album. Not the best but the run they had after this album(LP or whatever) is ridiculous. "Mystic Stylez" was the album after this, you cant name 2 bad albums from them in a 8-10yr span. Plz note Project Pat, Gangsta Blac, Skinny Pimp is alson a part of the run lol😂😂

@@teeozzyproductions899 Pretty sure it was the other way around. Tapes especially ones that have been dubbed multiple times will have random speeds while those official remasters are at the correct speed coming from the four tracks

@theshocker2747 There are a lot of remasters that ended up getting pitched down. That is because they wanted to sound older on the recording to appeal to their nationwide audience. Back when I first noticed the differences, I thought it was purely tape speed. After giving it some thought over the years, I say it was a post production thing. Most of the official remasters are not at the original speed.
