Lifelong Chargers fan here. I was at this game with my Dad! I had just turned 13 years old 2 weeks before. Taking me to this game was a late birthday present from my Dad. By the way, Stan Humphries was never considered a great QB, but that play at 55:45 to convert on a 3rd and 17 was John Elway-like. Amazing play!

Humphries was kind of like Gannon... unsung but a good QB. Injuries derailed his career.

As a Radier fan I hate the Chargers but Stan Humphries was damn good and deserves a lot more respect

I was at this MNF game in SD. A friend bought some tickets, they were literally 2 rows below the lights. Still remember the stadium shaking after Hostetler threw that bomb on the 1st play for TD. That game was about 50/50 Raider fans to Charger fans and seemed everyone in my section hated Dierdorf. The crowd chanted more than a few times "Dierdorf sucks!". It felt like the stadium could explode several different times during the game after some big plays. It was a good game - all wins are.

Raiders of the Lost 90's. All that talent, but absolutely NO discipline or coaching. They got outschemed consistently or would wilt in the 2nd half. And yet, games like this showed you how much raw talent they had. Funny how both these teams basically owned each other in their own stadium from 1990-1994, with the Raiders sweeping in 1990 and Chargers sweeping in 1992. Otherwise, both teams split the road games every other year.

Leslie O'Neal #91 of the San Diego Chargers He played nine seasons for the Chargers (1986-95), two for the St. Louis Rams (96-97) and two for the Kansas City Chiefs (98-99). 1986 Defensive Rookie of the Year 132.5 sacks (tied with New York Giants great Lawrence Taylor) 768 career tackles. 6 Pro Bowl selection The man was all over the field when he played the game. Not only did O’Neal get sacks but he also played the run and often dropped back to take on a tight end. He was a physical specimen and had unlimited physical ability.

This one of the game I had been looking for!!! I was 10 months years old. Born in 1994 February, my dad watched this game on tv.

back then they were the fastest in the nfl (raiders)😈

Trapp catches Coleman easily even if Land misses the tackle. James was definitely the fastest man on the field on that play.

The last season the Raiders-Chargers rivalry as an all-Southern California showdown.

The Raiders during these years clearly thought talent alone could overcome predictable plays and stupid penalties just like they did in their glory days when they generally possessed talent *well* above most of their opposition. But that was no longer possible after free agency (and perhaps a few years before that). As a result they never met their apparent promise.

Loved that year

The one dislike is a Chargers fan.

Alexander Wright as well...3 guys on the team won the NFL Fastest Man Contest (Wright, Jett and Trapp), and Rocket beat the two he raced in College in Jett and Trapp.

Now chargers in la and raiders are somewhere else

I remember this season like it was yesterday. The 94 Raiders were so frustrating to watch. They had so much talent on both sides of the ball but due to sloppy play and lack of discipline they could barely make 500. It also didn't help that their offensive co-ordinator was horrible. The 94 Raiders were project to go all the way by a lot of sports writers. Also, I've never seen a centre take three penalties in one game

I've always disliked Al Michaels. Technically good at his job but just so smug and condescending, especially when calling Raider games. *Edit: See what I mean right away lol the Raiders come out and throw a bomb on their first play for an 76 yard TD. Al Michaels: "The Raiders do this all the time and it almost never works. That's Alexander Wright, who only has 11 catches this season, averaging less than a catch per game." SUCH a hater hahaha.
