wow this helps with this years kickoff. Kinda wish I was in this game,but I was to busy being born and all.

I was wondering if you have the full broadcast of the 1994 U.S. first competition that your video came from that was broadcasted by ESPN2? I was the driver on the Manchester memorial high school team that year and have been searching for the video for years. Saw it once but looking to get a copy. Any info would be helpful. Thanks!!

This is not the Championship match. In the finals (and I really only remember the highlights so correct me if I am wrong), Sunny Delight faces an even stronger "bucket" bot in which it's bucket not only puts balls in the basket, but it covers the basket and prevents any other balls from entering the basket. The only caveat is, this stronger "bucket" bot was slow and struggled to pick up scattered balls; it was designed to pick up all the balls, at once, in their designed formation (5x5 maybe???). However, in the Championship Match, in a stroke of brilliance and drama, Sunny Delight first targets their opponents organized balls and scatters them by slamming into them. Sunny Delight then proceeds to pick up and shoot their balls into the basket. Once, I think Sunny Delight picked up one of their opponent's balls and fired the ball out of the arena.

That's vaguely how I remember it going. My team came in 6th that year with a similar concept to the P&G shooter but a clunkier execution. Watching that giant, ponderous bucket rise like a guillotine blade ready to block all access to the goal was crazy tension.

I was on the Sunny Delight team in this video! What a great find, surfing the web nearly 30 years later! @joshuabunkers1494's comments about the tactics were great. Blast from the past.
