Earnest Byner was an inspirational person to me as a young man. At age 40 that is still true. Great man you are Earnest and keep spreading the knowledge and love. Regards

Went back to Cleveland after Washington, and after 1993 they became a joke thanks to Dan Snyder. Have been ever since, including their name change

Mark Schlereth went to Denver and won 2 more Super Bowls in the late 90s. It's funny because he was a member of the Hogs considered the biggest line in the NFL at that time but by the late 90s, Schlereth and the rest of Broncos line was considered small, and also were accused of cut blocking

Bills got some matter of revenge that year. Beat the Giants, Redskins, and Cowboys during the regular season.

Michael That's Jerry's fault for not paying Emmitt what he was worth at the beginning of that season. Don't blame the Bills for Jerry not paying Emmitt the bills! The Bills had a 13-6 lead at half-time of Super Bowl XXVIII. Thurman doesn't fumble on the 3rd play of the 2nd half, the Bills continue to wear down the Dallas defense(Thurman had 82 total yards right before the 2nd half fumble and would've continued to get chances with carrying the ball),force the Cowboys to abandon Emmitt Smith's rushing and the Bills win that Super Bowl! Plus, they were only down by 7 going into the 4th before a 4th down td put the game away. So much for getting "wrecked". Also,in the 1996 season in Buffalo, the Bills beat the Cowboys again In a hard hitting defensive battle. In that game, the Bills were down to their 3rd string qb and they still won! Quit making excuses! The Cowboys didn't and you shouldn't either!

@@quentincampbell612 and now not withstanding a win over a bad giants team yesterday the cowgirls(yes that's what they've been for awhile) even with all their talent will fold when they play a real team like New England who right now look like the best and they don't have Brown or some others yet. Those 90s Dallas teams even though they claim they could have easily beaten New England would not have a chance. Mahomes could do it. What make them think they can. No way.

I missed most of this season due to military service. I Joined the Navy with the Redskins on Top of the world only to return to the NFL as a fan with my Redskins the worst team in the league.

Redskins really didn't get the publicity they deserved back then, largely b/c teams like the Niners and Cowboys were eating up most of it. Washington, IMHO, had the best system in the entire league. They never really had any "superstars", per se, but they consistently had the right players working in their system year in, and year out (which is also why they had a lot of depth in their roster). And a top notch coaching staff (ie, Richie Petitbon was one of the best defensive coaches, but you rarely ever heard much about him). If it weren't for them being in the toughest division in all of the NFL (NFCE), they likely would have won a couple of more Super Bowls. Remember their 0-9 record against the Giants in '86, and '88-'90? When the new era of UFA/salary cap hit, sadly, and surprisingly, they became the first casualty. Honestly, you really can't blame Dan Snyder - b/c their problems started well before he bought the team.

At 13:06 a Buffalo defender jumps off sides but gets back before the ball is snapped and the play is allowed to continue. Was there a rule change about this between 1993 and now? Nowadays it seems as if the officials throw the flag as son as someone steps over the line, even if the ball hasn’t yet been snapped.

You gotta touch an OLman to end the play. Same rules. Only difference is if it looks like the defender has a free run at the QB they'll blow it dead now.

Kind of strange how dominant they were against these NFC teams during the regular season. Maybe the Bills took a dive in the SB.
