I remember that game like it was yesterday. Scott Skiles tied it up late in the 4th and Toni Kukoc goes in for a layup with a second left, which didn't leave the Magic enough time to draw up a good enough play to win.

This game was blacked out in the Buffalo area. They showed the Raiders vs. Packers. The first Lambeau Leap by LeRoy Butler happened that day.

Blackout in Buffalo also meant Erie couldn't air the game either. Although Erie likely would have aired the Steelers-Seahawks game anyway, it was only a Singleheader day for NBC.

I vividly remember listening to the game on Rochester radio. Our local NBC affiliate also aired Packers-Raiders, FWIW. (While it's good to see the NFL ditch blackouts, the flipside of that is their 'home market' designations, which in the Bills' case is just Erie County instead of what it should be - the old blackout area from Buffalo to Syracuse. Very annoying when you want to watch something not airing on the networks or ESPN.)

That was the 1981 AFC Championship Game. Ken Anderson was the Bengals starting QB. Boomer was drafted by the Bengals in 1984.

The Bills almost gifted them it a few times. The OT win in New England, the one point loss to the Raiders, the 10-7 win in Philadelphia and this game here. I’m a Bills fan, but Joe Montana is my favorite player. I’d of loved for Joe with the Chiefs to have the opportunity to go up against Dallas in the Super Bowl. I still believe had San Francisco allowed Joe to start the 1992 playoffs, the Dallas dynasty never happens. Joe Montana owned Dallas throughout his career. Joe beat the 49ers in 1994.
