    Yes and they run for miles neck by neck on an open road, while the weakest Viper could do almost 270 kilometres in an hour. The Viper-driver knows, it is no use rushing, he must have read the script or what :P

    @@pisti801227 '67 GTX had 2 engine options, a 375hp 440 and a 425 hp 426 Hemi. ..the Hemi was advertised at 425 hp..which it did make..at 5,200 RPM. At 6,100 RPM it made 500 hp. Ofc those are the old gross numbers, not net..so..basically then fairly similar to that gen Viper in pwr. They're both powerful cars.

    i dont think a Viper would skid like that at 30 mph..had to be at least 60 mph, but yeah, they were by no means hitting the speeds these two beasts could hit..not even close, lol.

    I've noticed that the Hemi GTX in this show/movie has the same sound as some muscle cars in GTA San Andreas,like the Hotknife for example,that one is the most recognizable XD,love that game...

    How anyone can remember one of the worst shows around is amazing. It was so bad that I saw only 2 or 3 episodes and quit. It's TERRIBLE. Just a lousy 47 minute ad for Chrysler products.

    @@largol33t1 Depends viper had 2 maybe 3 versions. 1 he was the driver from the start as a cop and another it rebooted like mid series with him being some bad ass criminal driver with amnesia. I forget which was first and i think there was a 3rd version as well.

    Damn what a nostalgia watching this. I live in UK now, but used to live in Poland and as a teenager it was one of the top shows among Dragon Ball or Power Rangers. Every kid dreamed of having a Viper, so every kid had one on their shelf in either 1/24 or 1/18 scale by BBURAGO. It was one of those cars which you would hang on your wall, next to a Ferrari F40, Countach, Xj220 or McLaren F1. Somehow these days it feels like the car was forgotten about. Thanks for the video tho

    Trivia: These are sounds recorded from a Shelby Cobra then edited for higher pitch. These sound files were later used for the Hotknife in GTA San Andreas.

    67 gtx hemi 425 hp @ 3999 lbs. 93 viper rt/10 400 hp @ 3457 lbs. So in reality it'd be a pretty close race until there were corners involved. And aerodynamics. Oh who are we kidding? We all know the GTX would get smoked. Good thing they both have 65 speed gear boxes.

    Net vs gross, though both the bb hemi and Viper V10 are some of the relatively few engines to be significantly under rated from the factory for various reasons. And for a bunch of reasons besides just power the viper is way faster, though it wouldn't take much prep to get a stock gyx down to a similar range.

    Also I just noticed They used stock sound effects because the original audio was just wind as you could imagine The viper wasnt a very loud car and neither was the gtx going at 50 mph The gtx uses a stock car sound from a ford model A I think Its a hotrod

    I can't believe this show would drive me nuts tryna find it as a kid, I grew up on "knight rider" so this was jus bada$$.... looking back at it now LoL sweet Jesus this show was so lame but for us kids growing up in 90's this was family TV time. Good times✌👌👏👍👍
