Oh my god, this WAS television. What memories, what memories, I miss the 90s a lot. Television was quality. What a good series, I remember when I enjoyed this series on television. The music is epic.❤

1. The intro music is so uplifting with it’s use of different horns. 2. Teri Hatcher was such a babe with those dark brown eyes and hair. Love this show to this day

I was 5 yrs old when this movie came out 1993

I remember seeing this show as a kid and thinking “that’s superboy” but overall it was a great show Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher really sold there chemistry as Lois and Clark. I wish they did have a fifth season

There was a four-season Superboy series that immediately preceded this in syndication. So you weren't too far off.

I loved this show so much. Used to look forward to it so much as a child in the UK. They seriously don’t make shows like this anymore! And it’s so 90s ❤

I really enjoyed this. Most people probably would not even think of L&C when it comes to the stronger versions of superman. But here's the thing THIS superman in *not* vulnerable to magic. It was tried on him a couple times and he was like "Uh, was that suppose to hurt?". His Lois could protect herself.

@@rolandog5424 The Salkinds had intended to end Season Four of Superboy with a cliffhanger that would have been resolved with a TV movie seeing Clark take up the mantle of Superman. Warner Bros. were already planning their own Superman TV series (Lois and Clark) and didn't want to contend with a competing Superman series so they put a kibosh on those plans by issuing the Salkinds with a "Cease and Desist" order that effectively killed Superboy and forced the Salkinds to relinquish the film and television rights to the Superman characters. Ironically Gerard Christopher auditioned for the Lois and Clark Superman, was offered the part by the series producers, only to have them rescind the offer days later after discovering he'd played Superboy.

@@jwg5774 Dean Cain has voiced doubts about that story. He thinks the showrunners were well aware of the Superboy show and simply had second thoughts about rehiring a previous Superman actor, as opposed to starting over from scratch. That doesn't necessarily disprove that Christopher was a front-runner who got rejected in the 11th hour, though. That very well could have happened. As to the cease-and-desist that WB hit the Salkinds with, it directly led to the 13-year development hell that *Superman Returns* suffered under Jon Peters, Tim Burton, and JJ Abrams (among others), and it allegedly indirectly contributed to the infamous "Death of Superman" story in the comics. Supposedly DC head Mike Carlin, who contributed to *Superboy,* repurposed what would have been the show's cliffhanger finale into the comics. Although I'm sure the *Superboy* version of events would likely have been much more respectful and tasteful than the mean-spirited shock value train wreck DC dished out in 1992.

it would've been good if there had been an episode of Lois & Clark:The New Adventures of Superman titled "World's Finest",in which the Daily Planet hears that Batman stopped 1 of Superman's enemies in Gotham City and that Superman goes there to bring his enemy back to Metropolis and gets to meet the Caped Crusader.

the tought have occured to me, like the big Superman fan i am, and Superman made his debut in 1938, witch would be 80 years ago this summer. 2018 makes a good year to celebrate Superman

ok that was a very funny movie and it was also made into a comicbook once. Anette o Toole who played his girlfriend lana, also played his mother in smallvile

It would‘ve been good if there had been an episode of Lois & Clark:The New Adventures of Superman in which he has made the Fortress of Solitude in the frozen Arctic.

Lois & Clark:The New Adventures of Superman should‘ve deserved a 5th season on ABC so that there would‘ve been an explanation of how that baby came to their house after they had tried to make a baby but they had difficulty because of their different biologies.

Eugenie Ross-Leming, who served as executive producer of _Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,_ along with Brad Buckner, who wrote for the show in its third and fourth seasons, have said the child was Kryptonian royalty and the ending of the last episode was to have been continued and resolved in the fifth season's plot. The child was to have aged rapidly all while Lois and Clark tried to raise it, eventually becoming a teen.

I like Smallville more cause they had almost all the originals as guests . Christopher Reeves pass the torch to Tom Welling & Margot Kidler pass the torch to Erica Durance

No torches were passed. Welling never wanted to play the adult Superman (and that was a point of contention between him and his co-stars/showrunners), and that refusal alone guaranteed the role would rightfully be passed to another actor, regardless of fan opinion.

Another reason there should've been a 5th season of Lois & Clark:The New Adventures of Superman is that it would also probably introducee Superman's cousin Supergirl so that he would feel relieved that at least 1 of his family had also survived the loss of Krypton and that he'd train her in being a crimefighter.

DC wouldn't have allowed Kara Zor-El at the time. They were heavily invested in the protoplasmic shapeshifter Supergirl created by John Byrne and were adamant that Superman be the only living Kryptonian, no matter how little sense it made. They wouldn't let Dan Jurgens bring Kara back in the comics (she only appears in his Superman/Aliens crossover and not in official DC canon of the time), and they fought the Dini-Timm animated *Superman* tooth and nail to stop them from using Kara as their Supergirl. Dini-Timm's response? Make Kara a distant cousin from one of Krypton's sister planets, a massive middle finger to DC and an efficient way to bring her back into the mythos. DC Comics has gone out of their way to sabotage the Superman mythos since 1986 in various ways. "Truth/Rebirth" may have been what finally killed the franchise, but DC's been screwing things up on purpose for nearly 40 years.

The cliffhanger ending was unfortunate once ABC reversed their decision to renew the series for a fifth season.

I loved this show! But IMHO it was spoiled by the dreary theme tune. The show is a fun, bright, superhero romance. I don't think this tune does justice to any of those themes.

Jay Gruska is a very hit-and miss composer. The animated *Superman* struck gold with Shirley Walker as its music supervisor.
