This and the Dunhill Cup (the precursor to the Dunhill Links Championship) were always autumn highlights when I first started watching golf in the late 80s/early 90s!

Hi Andrew, thanks for the comments. All the videos I recorded myself over the years either from the Beeb or satellite (ESPN). The beeb coverage was so good back in the day I always say you did not have to be a big Golf fan to enjoy it! I have a fare amount of open coverage that i'll try to put on at some stage. 81 Ryder cup and masters progs got blocked sadly.

A young Billy Foster carrying Seve's bag. Wonder if Billy has worked out how many miles he's walked as a caddie over the years.

Let's say 6 miles a course x 4 tournament rounds, say 2 practice days, so 36 a week. Say 30 tournaments a year, that's approx 1'100 miles a year basically. But it was Seve. He was quite wayward, so double it, lol! 😂

@@neilp190 Hi Neil! Thanks a lot for all the footage you're uploading, it's wonderful. I was wondering if you would mind checking something through your discs when you can; I've been looking for ages for extended footage of days 1 and 2 of 1987 Ryder Cup. I'm not talking about the general highlight film, since that one is already on KZread. I know that they made a 2 hour-programme (approximately) each of those two days, and ESPN Classic may have re-aired them sometime. I assume that this is a really, really long shot, but one never knows... Thanks a lot in advance and Happy New Year!

How the beautiful game has changed and definitely not for the better .. .. .. today's game is about DRAMA with pros who can not putt unless they have a putter design and looking like something made by NASA ( or Willy Wonka ) and the putt alignment nowadays is a COMPLETE JOKE . Golf needs a major rethink 👍👍👍⛳️⛳️⛳️ SEVE was one of if not the greatest match players 👍⛳️
I love Shotscope, great content as usual Liam👍🏻👍🏻🏌🏽♂️ I would love the watch, just back golfing after a 3+year hiatus (shoulder injury and surgery) had to buy a new battery for my TomTom gps watch to then find out TomTom will no longer be supporting the app and watch updates after September 😫😤 keep up the great work looking forward to some OMP content at some point 💷 🏌🏽♂️

当時、これをTVで見て、セベとマッチプレーとウェントワースが僕のゴルフの根幹になりました。思えばこれ以降、パーシモンの衰退の加速が始まり、タイガー主体のパワーゴルフに移り少しつまらなくなりました。
