    For some unknown reason I started to watch this four part video with part 2, which I left comments. I just watched this video 1 and was horrified when I saw how the 17mm bolt had broken off. If that had happened here with these rip off mechanic shops, they probably would have crazy glued the bolt back and tell the customer that they needed a new engine. LOL! Sylvia I apologize if I misspelled your name in my post to video # 4. Beautiful dog. Thanks to both of you for the awesome videos.

    That's been leaking a long time. I like your idea of trying a new harmonic balancer for fit (and maybe a new crank gear). The tricky part may be in removing that broken crank bolt. What a pain!

    Man that sucks that crank bolt broke like that i have a question is a 1998 chevy prism 1.8 liter very similar to this 1.6 you are working on i have a lady i know who has a major oil leak on passenger side of engine i haven't took a look at it yet but i know a prism is a Toyota Corolla just rebaged by gm

    I don't get it. It's a 91" Camry. You can buy another well kept one for $800. You've already found colossal crank key/timing belt and tie rod that's half past dead if it's not the wheel bearing too. There is bound to be more worn out stuff too. What are we even contemplating saving this car for?

    That car is basically 30 years old so its bound to have a leak of some sort. I remember seeing these back in the early 2000s now I barely see any.

    My question is how could this happen? Was there debris in the hole and the bolt didn’t go in all the way? This is going to be a multiple episode. I’m watching.

    Another commenter said it could be they never tightened that bolt before. I think I really lucked out with that bolt leaving that hole right in the center!
