I was 15 years old when I got the Carmine 6's in 1991, no lines at the store, just walked in and bought them. They were $125 and I was making $4.25 an hour. It took forever to save up for them. Insane to see a pair survive. Awesome video 🤟

I was 10 years old when the 6's came out. It was $99.99 for grade school sizes. I wanted the breds but end up getting the maroon in early 92 when it was on sale.

It’s incredible to think channels like this are doing a better job of digitally preserving and sharing these icons than Nike is.

I really love the 6s its so comfortable even used for casual wears. Couldn't wait to have my collection of the 6s

I got every 1991 and 1992 pair of Jordans. The black infarad 6 is and will always be my favorite. I recently acquired 2 different 1993 samples of the OG olive 9’s. Getting them sole swapped and can’t wait to showcase.

I cried in 1990 when I couldn't get them on sale 75$ didn't have my size I was willing to wear a whole size too small ☠️

I was 11 and would stare at the kids who had these. These in black and red are my all time favorites and my introduction to the Jordan brand.

Jordan 6 is my favorite

The maroon is my favorite. The only one with the pull tab matching the shoe color. A maroon nike air qould look great on em too.

Damn man I want those white infrareds so damn bad. I'm so surprised we still haven't gotten a retro with Nike Air.

Carmine are my favorite. I could never get Jordan's back in the day, but I have been rocking the retros since 2011 and got the Jordan 6 Carmine and White/Navy more recently.

My favorite Air Jordans by a mile. White infrared is my all time favorite. I have the black and red warm up suit from 1991, still looking for the white and the purple in a size large. When they retro the white infrared pair with Nike branding, that will be hype.

I grew up in queens my mom worked hard at Jamaica hospital and she bought me the 5s in like 1990 i think. Those boxes and stickers brought me back

Just picked up the 2021 carmine ,6s. My favorite original Jordan shoe

When the original Air Jordan 6 came out I was about 11/12 and that shoe really kicked off my love of sneakers. Had cool stuff before but Black/Infrared is it. Absolute perfect sneaker that goes with everything. At that age sneakers really started to matter, Jordan was right at his peak and the clothes that went with it was legendary. Even though i bought everything after I didn't have that feeling of perfection again until the 11. The 7's didn't have translucent sole or visible air but had the hurrache vibe. The 8's were like boots, the 9's were nice but the Columbia and Olive were the best imo. The 10's still had no visible air and were kind of lack luster due to his retirement. But the 11's to were Tinker's final masterpiece

Love the maroon. I always wanted it as a kid but had to go with the black infrared as the maroon wasn't Available in my local sports shop. I was ecstatic when they was finally given a retro. 14:50 I have that tracksuit top. I'd had it for a while but needed the cuffs and hem fixing, because the elastic had deteriorated due to age, but I literally fixed it myself just last week and I've worn it nearly every day since, lol. It's a fantastic Jacket. I wear my white infrared 6s or black cement 3s with it. Great collection bro. Glad you was able to find them all. 👍

I had the maroon as a kid. I wanted the bred but the maroon was the only one that was available. I got mine in early 1992 because it was on sale at that time when the 7s was just released.

@@flucas6595 January of 92 is when I got mine. I think mine was quite cheap compared to some of the Reebok pumps that I'd had up to that point. Probably half the price. I was just about still in a GS size at that point. Size 5 I think. I do believe those j6s was around £60. That would've been the equivalent of $120 according to the exchange rates back then, if I'm not mistaken.

Excellent. I have the whole suit and it’s my favorite one. I’m still looking for the all white Jordan 6 suit. I have a video of my collection of warm up suits on my channel. I feel like not much love is given to the OG Jordan apparel. The warm up suits were a big deal back then.

The OG 6s look so much better than Retros, which are still nice, but the shape and little details make a difference. To me, it looks like the AJ6 Retros haven’t changed much. Its like JB is trolling dropping meh to ugly colorways for the 6s instead of a proper retro for at least the White Infared and Sport Blue.

They'll crack either way.. best longevity is definitely storing climate control temp and humidity, ideally around 70 degrees and humidity 35-40% I think is ideal
