Yeah, although expenses go through the roof with such a large restoration. I’m partial to the look of a stock Esprit so I likely won’t be adding external mods with exception of the paint and wheels. Interior will get done with new material everywhere….likely black with yellow stitching. Engine will get a ball bearing/ceramic turbo and larger injectors after the rebuild. I’m aiming for around 325 to 350 hp. Trans will be rebuilt and uprated. So, yeah…lots to do!

I’m an esprit owner as well and I’m really hoping you document this whole process on KZread !

Agreed.

I was laughing when you showed the interior.. I also purched an 88 from a guy in FL. The car had sat outside for years and the interior was trashed! Not quite as bad as yours, but completely trashed. I stripped it all out and took it to an auto upholstery shop.. total cost was about 6k, but we'll worth it! That included door cards, seats, and everything else, but did not include steering wheel... you have a great project!
