Thanks for the upload. It is good to see but! many viewers are not correct about this being great Aikido. If there were two attackers, at many points, Cheba sensei would have been unable to survive. It can be/is violent and brutal and misguided, ego centred nastiness. The reason it is it is violent and brutal is because he is using his shoulders all the time so has to be overly strong. He has made/changed the technique to suit/compensate for his bad, shoulder style technique. But it works well. It will always work. He does some intriguing things to compensate for stuff he doesn’t know how to make work. Cheba sensei can’t keep Uke pinned down. Uke enters and tries to stand continually which is very experienced and good - (this means Uke is actually controlling Cheba sensei, not Cheba controlling uke. If Chiba sensei let uke go he will come back up). If there were Two attackers at this point Cheba sensei would have been unable to fight both of them, knacked! Using his bodies “vertical gravity” and centre he could keep Uke down with two fingers while standing straight and relaxed, easily ready to fight a second attacker and control both at any time. Students hyped Chiba sensei cause it always looked good and difficult to copy. Given a Boken and return to original Aikido principles he could have fixed it. About the ego! who knows? Happy that era is over. All the best.

If anyone was at this seminar did anyone ask Chiba sensei what he thought of Steven Seagal as seagal was on top of his game by now. The Aikido dojos were packed out.
