@@noddypeak In fact,most of the songs on that album were about his mother,a way to channel his grief if you will. They were very close. Another thing to consider too,is that around the same time,he & his 1st wife were divorcing. So,yeah. He was going thru a lot 😢💔

I just realized that Takumi from Nana might be based on him. He also got his stylist pregnant and married her. His father was an alcoholic and he was a rebel during highschool. That’s basically Takumi s story in the manga.

Except that Takumi is a total asshole and his personality sucks while at least from what I’ve seen from Sakurai’s interviews he seems to be a quiet and down to earth person. Plus, the only thing they have in common is the long black hair but they look nothing alike in my humble opinion.
